Epilogue: What happened after.

Epilogue: What happened after.

Earnest:

The Master Swordsman who's skill was comparable to the Hero Lara. After the Hero's disappearance he decided to stay within the Kingdom's continent for a while. With the rewards for his efforts he lived comfortably and slept far too much. Though on occasion he would help his friends with their work, it was more out of boredom than anything else.

After a year passed he decided to sail home and reclaim his honour after banishment. With the deeds he had accomplished and the stories spread of his name, without a doubt he would be welcomed home. That was if he reached it. After drinking far too much at his farewell party, Earnest boarded his vessel, it was unfortunate however that it was not the right one. Where he should have sailed east instead he was taken to the Northern realm, a far off continent with little to do with his home or that of his friends.

Earnest took it all in stride as a way to entertain himself and savoured many of the fine things the north had to offer. A place mixed with humans and demons, there were many races he had never met before. It was a shame then that without proper guidance Earnest was never the best when it came to money and just like in the Kingdom, fell into a large debt due to gambling. He was forced to work by the country's government and once more proved his skills with the sword.

During his adventure, though not on the same scale of his last, he won the heart of a fair maiden… kind of. The women, a demon, and Master Swordsman herself fell to Earnest's skill becoming infatuated with him and proceeded to chase him across the continent. Though a complex relationship at first, the two saw eye to eye through their continued bouts. Once his debt had been settled Earnest took the demon with him to his home, and with her help boarded the correct ship.

Together the two completed their shared dream of opening a new school for swordsmanship. Their lives never quite settled due to their natures but you could say that without a doubt, Earnest had found happiness… or at least a form of it.

Marley:

The Priest of the Goddess returned to the Kingdom's Temple and completed her training fully. Though her brash attitude at times and certain stranger interests came into conflict with her own teachings, she was much loved by the community. Despite having her own duties she always made time to visit her friends and join them on their own escapades, to which she could revel in her more violent tendencies.

As the continent settled she was tasked by the Church to open her own Temple within the border forest. The first of its kind, it welcomed both demons and humans. While it had its own troubles, as head of the temple Marley made sure to squash them immediately. Her iron fist and hammer a clear way to get her subordinates and visitors in order.

Ronalt:

The hidden prince and Captain of the Kingdom's knights. He continued his duties for the Kingdom and was one of the key members pushing for the continents peace. It was not strange to see his banner flown high in the town's he visited. Although stern and intimidating, the man had a warm heart and visited many orphanages, raising what could be called the next generation of knights. His sense of justice never let him down the wrong path and as years passed many had his staunch figure pressed to their memories.

Later in his years he was sent as an ambassador to the other continents and met old friends and new alike. His contribution to creating what would be called the new world was outstanding. Truth be told it had its ups and downs but Ronalt never wavered and whenever he began to, his friends were there at his side.

Ardent:

The apprentice of the Archmage and candidate to replace her, he never stopped his research in magic and led to many revolutions. Though his contributions to magic were great, Ardent Val Tour would be remembered most for his efforts in reforming education. Through the help of certain friends he made it his goal to spread the tutelage of not only magic but also common principles to all people and not be hoarded by the nobility or rich. His ideology for knowledge spread quickly through the entire continent and even across the vast oceans and seas.

Later on in his years during the establishment of the new world which saw the combined work of many continents, Ardent was given the position of Archmage of the Magician's Guild. The power and responsibility showed him a new world of possibility, however unlike his predecessor he did not hole himself within the Guild and chose to continually experience what life had to offer. He travelled the globe with companions new and old and those who met him were infected by his enthusiasm.

Caius:

The Demon Lord, when Caius returned to the Demon Capital he was berated by his subordinates for many hours. He listened intently to their woes and complaints with a thin smile. It was a realisation that even Rain did not have in his life but he learnt just how much he was cared for by the people. A man who viewed himself as a dictator and forced the demon tribes together, there was no small amount of guilt in his soul. After experiencing a taste of his other self's memories, he could no longer view the world so coldly. The shift in his personality caused suspicion to many beneath him but not more so than his declaration of allying with the Kingdom. The news broke through the demon territory like fire and caused several rebellions. The Demon Lord however was what he was for a reason and now with the Hero gone could be considered the most powerful being on the continent, if not world.

A hard life paved its way for Caius and truth be told he died many times. He never regretted his decision however and strove for a future he could smile at, one where villages like the one he was born in would never have to suffer. The resentment between the two races was strong and even with the Kingdom's help, it took decades of work to fill the holes left from war. Regardless, demon or human, they would all remember Caius as the leading figure who joined the two races together on the continent.

Taylor:

Once called Empress, the master thief, truth be told she never let go of her stealthy habit. Whether it was as a simple joke or a grander plan, her talents were made good use of. The Kingdom had a lot of work that needed to be done to keep the new Empire in check. At first the only reason she helped was because of Rain but as time went by Taylor regained her humanity lost as a child of the slums. Being captured by the Hero was one of the best things that ever happened to her and she freely admitted that. She found friends who'd give their life for hers, a family she never knew and a lover who meant the world to her.

A hidden figure in history, the name 'Empress' only came up in rumours but to those who knew, she was a key contributor to the continent's peace. Taylor herself was known as a bright women, who though sly, had a generous heart. She could always be found not far from Rain and the pair continued to be together. There were many who tried to step into the rising star's relationship but at those times Taylor would revert to how she could be. Although at times difficult Taylor lived her life to the fullest.

Rain:

The boy from Axel, a traveller from another world and an ex Demon Lord, he would be continuingly thrown into situations he'd rather not be. With his best friend gone, he kept to his word and worked for the Kingdom as an Ambassador for the demons. It wasn't an easy task and his life came close to ending more times than he would have liked. If it wasn't for his close friends he really might have died for good. It was safe to say the Goddess saw him regularly.

Rain's experience was irreplaceable and many of his contributions led to the creation of the new world. The man himself however would have been happy to just sleep the day away back in his home town. Still, he continued to smile and did his best, though not without complaining. While not a noble, his work for the Kingdom gave him a high regard among the people and many wanted his hand in marriage. Strangely the offers were taken back within days of being asked. He did however marry, to who it was obvious as the women herself would have never let it happen any other way.
