The Truth

After Ryder returned from Atlas, he used his honorary Specialist status to secure an Airship from the Military base in Argus. JNPR had failed to secure a ship but when he showed up and showed the badge, the Commander of the base reluctantly gave them access to the base and an Airship. With that ready, all they needed to do was wait for Team RWBY, Qrow and Oscar to make their way to Argus. It was a long wait and Ryder got increasingly worried as the time expanded.

But during the spare time he had, Ryder trained his semblance. He went far away from Argus to train but remained in range for communications. Right now, Ryder was meditating in the wilderness to help gain better control on his Magic. He eventually decided to return to Argus. But he didn't want to fly all the way back, so he decided to use Teleportation. He locked onto Jaune's energy and began to teleport himself to his location.

After he disappeared and then reappeared, he opened his eyes to see he was inside Jaune's Sisters' house. But he notices some new additions to the room. Team RWBY, Oscar and Qrow as well as an old lady whom he never met before. Upon seeing them, Ryder noticed that they looked surprised. He wasn't sure why but then realized they've never seen him teleport before.

"W-what? How did you just... appear?" Blake asked.

"Teleportation." Ryder answered simply.

"You can teleport!?" Ruby asked excitedly.

"Yep. Recently figured it out." Ryder said. "When did you guys get back?"

"Just recently." Weiss answered.

"Well, I'm glad to see that you guys are alright." Ryder said, smiling at his friends and girlfriend.

The group either smiles back or continues to eat their sandwiches. Saphron though, had a question.

"Well, what's your plan for tomorrow?" Saphron asks.

Ruby stopped eating her sandwich and looked at Saphron.

"Well, we're trying to make our way to Atlas." Ruby said. "We'll probably start with the Military base."

"Already taken care of, Ruby." Ryder mentions.

"Really? You managed to convince them to give you a ship?" Qrow asked.

"Wasn't that hard, especially since Ironwood gave me the key." Ryder said.

Team RWBY, Oscar and Qrow were confused.

"When I figured out teleportation, I used it to go to Atlas. I had teleported to Ironwood, and I told him everything that's transpired." Ryder explains. "He knows about Haven and everything after that."

"So how exactly did Ironwood, give you the keys?" Qrow asked.

Ryder smiled and grabbed his honorary Specialist badge. He then showed it to everyone else.

"Ironwood made me an honorary Specialist so that I could secure an airship." Ryder said, with a smile.

The group, besides JNPR and Saphron, were surprised.

"Well thank you General Ironwood." Yang comments.

"Tomorrow, we can head out for Atlas. I imagine Ironwood would have a lot to say to Ozpin." Ryder said.

RWBY and Oscar look uneasy after he said Ozpin. Qrow scoffs and crossed his arms. Ryder and JNPR looked confused. They then looked at each other. Ryder knew something was wrong.

"Guys?" Ryder asked, sounding concerned. "What's wrong?"

Qrow looked at Saphron.

"Mind if we have some privacy?" Qrow asked.

"Of course." Saphron said before she grabbed Adrian and the two leave the living room to give the group some privacy.

After she left, Team RWBY told the others everything. How Ozpin lied to them and how Salem is immortal and thus cannot be defeated. JNPR was stunned as was Ryder. But Ryder was pissed, no LIVID. Ozpin lied. He hates liars. He remembers how he lashed out against Jaune back in Beacon when he revealed he basically lied his way into Beacon Academy to him and Pyrrha. The cycle that often follows lying infected Earth and he hated it. Jaune punched the wall.

"Jaune!"

"Everything we did was for nothing!" Jaune said bitterly, walking away from the wall he just punched.

"That's not true." Blake said.

"Really? Cause it sure does sound like it." Nora asked, angrily.

Blake tried to speak but Ren beat her to it.

"If Salem can't be killed, then how are we supposed to win this?" Ren asked.

For a moment everyone was quiet. Ryder was deep in thought after that question. Before Jaune could speak, Ryder got an idea.

"I know how." Ryder said.

"How?" Jaune asked angrily.

"Guys, remember what I've been carrying with me. What I've been searching for. The Dragon Balls." Ryder said.

"And how are those orbs supposed to help!?" Jaune asked, raising his voice.

"You can't be serious." Qrow said, making Jaune look at him. "Did you not hear Ryder when he told you about them?"

It clicked to Nora and Ren. Nora got excited after it clicked to her.

"Wish orbs!" Nora said happily.

"We can just wish away her Immortality." Ren added.

"Exactly. Only issue, is that I don't know where the last one is. I'm hoping it's in Atlas." Ryder said.

"Your hoping?" Jaune asked, still angry. "What if it isn't?"

"Then I'll search for it." Ryder said. "With the Dragon Radar I can easily find it."

Qrow then was curious about something, it's about the Dragon Balls. All the time when Ryder explained the Orbs power, he never specified something.

"One question, Ryder." Qrow said, getting Ryder's attention. "How many wishes do we get?"

"One." Ryder said. "After that the Orbs scatter across the globe and take a year to recharge."

"So, we gotta be very careful with that wish." Qrow said.

"One is all we need." Ryder said. "One wish to remove Salem's immortality. One wish, to win this hidden war."
