End the War Part 4
The group consisting of Qrow, Raven, Summer, Winter, Team JNPR, Team RWBY and Team RK stood across from Salem ready for battle. Salem started the fight but unleashing a large wave of magical energy towards the group. Kairos and Ryder brought up a barrier together that the wave crashes into and slightly pushes them back. Once the wave subsided, they all heard growls. The group turned around as Ryder and Kairos dropped their barriers to see a large number of Grimm.
"Grimm!" Jaune shouted.
"Stick together, we can't be separated!" Ryder ordered.
Salem took this chance and rockets into the sky and heads for Atlas to secure the Relic she came for. Ruby saw this.
"She's heading for Atlas!" Ruby called out.
"We can't be in two places at once!" Ren stated.
Ryder quickly tried to think of something before he looked at Kairos and the two nod at each other.
"Winter, Raven. Come with me." Ryder said before looking at Kairos once more. "You stay down here and keep everyone alive."
"Count on it." Kairos said before he conjured a sword.
Weiss looked concerned and Ryder noticed. He smiled at her.
"I'll be fine, I got your sister and Raven." Ryder said calmly. "We can take Salem together."
Weiss hesitates but nods at him and he nods back.
"Alright! Let's go!" Ryder said before rocketing into the sky.
Raven and Winter look at each other before rocketing into the sky after him, using their Maiden Powers to keep up. While Salem flew towards Atlas, with her goal being Atlas Academy so she could collect the Relic. As she did, she sensed three presences behind her, so she looked and saw Raven, Winter and Ryder chasing after her. Salem increases her speed, and a shockwave erupts as she rapidly accelerates.
"We won't reach her in time!" Raven said.
Ryder immediately tries to lock onto Salem and teleport but she's going too fast. So, he decides to try something. To use his Magic to enhance himself. So, he lets his magic flow throughout his body before a shockwave erupts, and he goes flying forward. Salem heard the shockwave and turned but was punched in the face by Ryder. Her momentum increased and she was now over Atlas. Ryder appeared above her and punched her back down to the ground. She crashed just outside the city of Atlas. Ryder lands on the ground before Raven and Winter eventually join him. Salem stands up and glared at the trio.
"Fine, If I can't take the Relic the way this Kingdom is.... I'll just destroy it all and pick it from the rubble!" Salem declared.
She then rockets into the sky and gains great altitude before she stops. She then conjures a ball of Red and black magic energy before putting it above her and letting it grow in size. As it rapidly grows Ryder, Raven and Winter see this and their eyes widened as they know what she's going to do. She's going to Nuke Atlas.
"She's going to destroy Atlas!" Winter said, stunned by this act.
"But if she wants the Relic, she needs the Winter Maiden." Raven said.
"I think she knows that. She'll most likely track down the next." Ryder informs.
In Mantle, the group was fighting the Grimm and saw a red glow in the skies, so they stopped and looked up to see a large Ball of Magic. They were all stunned to see it.
"What is that?" Yang asked with wide eyes.
"Whatever it is, it'll destroy Atlas." Summer said.
Kairos was wide eyed as well, but he clenched his fists before he rockets into the sky. He hovers above Mantle before he put his hands together. A swirling mass of violet energy appears around him as he closed his eyes. A gust of wind erupts in all directions before he opens his eyes, and they are glowing. He then let out a war cry before an explosive aura of violet energy erupted around him. With his Super Charged state, Kairos blasts off for Atlas to help Ryder, Raven and Winter. With the trio, they watch as the orb gets larger and larger. Ryder then put his hands up to the sides and charged up Magic. Orange lightning sparked around him as he charged up. Raven and Winter decided to follow his lead and charge up their magic. As all three of them charged up, Salem charged her devastating attack. Once fully charged, Salem looked down at Atlas.
Salem then shouts as she throws the orb downwards at Atlas. Ryder slammed his wrists together and fired his Magic based Final Flash. Raven and Winter launch magic beams of their own and the three beams race towards the falling Ball of Magic. The three beams collide with the Orb and a struggle ensues as the land around them is illuminated with colors. From outside of Atlas Academy, Oscar was watching with the Ace Ops, Penny, and Robyn beside him. In Mantle, the group watched the clash happen high in the sky and hoped that they could win. Elsewhere in Mantle, Ironwood was moving his son onto a Manta Airship when he saw the light illuminate the area. So, he looked and saw the clash above Atlas.
Back in Atlas Ryder, Winter and Raven gave it their all but with the amount of Magic flowing out of them, Winter and Raven grew weaker. Same with Ryder. Eventually, Winter and Raven halted their beams and fell to a knee, but Ryder stayed standing. Determination etched into his eyes. He then decides on something very risky, but he has to do to. He yells as he pushes his Semblance to 20X and unleashes the full extent of his Magical potential. The Orb is pushed back slowly but Salem fired a beam of her own and pushed the orb back towards Ryder. Ryder's knee almost gives out, but he keeps going. Someone the lands beside him and he shifted his eyes to see that it was a Super Charged Kairos. Kairos then unleashes a large beam of violet energy at the Orb. His beam hit the orb and began pushing it back.
Salem pushed back with all her might causing it to return its course for Atlas.
"Come on Ryder!" Kairos said. "ONE. MORE. PUSH!!"
Ryder and Kairos let out a massive war cry together as their beams increase in power. The Orb began to crack shocking Salem.
"What!?" Salem shouted. "That's impossible, how could I be getting overpowered!?"
Kairos's Super Charged state dies as his Aura shattered causing him to fall to his knees. Ryder's Aura flickered intensely but he had one more push ready.
"Salem... Be-GONE!!!" Ryder shouted.
With a final surge of power, Ryder's Final Flash drills through Salem's orb causing it to shatter into pieces before the beam raced towards Salem herself. Salem's eyes widened as it got closer. She put up a barrier, but the barrier did nothing. Ryder's aura shatters but the power is still there. The beam hits Salem and completely consumes her body. Salem tried to resist the effects of the beam but noticed her body began to get glowing cracks all over. Her eyes widened.
"No...." Salem said.
Piece by piece, her body fell apart as the beam was killing her. But in her final moments, she felt something for the first time.
"Is... is this what death is like?" Salem asked weakly as the beam blasted her.
Soon, her entire body was vaporized leaving nothing left. Ryder then stops his attack while gasping and breathed heavily. The beam soon vanished as well as everything went silent. Raven was stunned. Salem, the biggest threat to Humanity, was dead. Ryder breathes heavily before slowly turning to Kairos. Kairos, while breathing heavily, smiles. Ryder smiles back before everything went black and he passed out.
