My World Anew

Suddenly, the ground quaked and a beast roar could be heard. The two of them turned to gaze towards the horizon with apprehension. "Quickly, we need to move. The beast is on the move again and by the looks of it it's heading straight for us," Timeless said urgently.


 Zeno nodded and they both got up, dashing deeper into the grove. "It seems that it's tracking us somehow," Zeno said, considering the possibilities. "Maybe it's using its sense of smell?"


 "I don't know but all this running is making me weary, let's just find a spot to hide," Timeless said panting.


 Timeless was just a mortal-ranked human, and compared to Zeno or the massive creature, he was severely lacking in stamina. To top it all, he had used Devil's Void repeatedly during his escape, and was feeling the effects of the constant use.
