The Car That's So Fast

Youko glanced at the kitchen, and immediately realized that this was just a lie from her daughter's anger, so she said: "This time I'm back in Japan, of course I have work to do, especially to cooperate with tomorrow's piano competition."

Looking at her quiet daughter, Youko's voice slowed down a little: "Tomorrow is also your birthday."

"That sort of thing is completely unimportant."

Kazusa turned her face away.

"Ah, did I say something wrong?"

"Three years ago, you abandoned me, why are you talking about my birthday now?"

"It's really hard for me to refute what you said, but I didn't give up on you, do you remember what I said back then?"

Youko leaned against the wall to look at her daughter.

"Forget." Kazusa lied.

In fact, she had always remembered, otherwise she would not have remembered it in her dreams from that day.

"Forget it, I thought you would treat me in a more aggressive tone, um…, I suddenly feel my daughter is really cute."

It was Youko's words that suddenly shook Kazusa: "W-what are you talking about! What do you mean, I really hate you!"

Youko laughed, for some reason, maybe because of Asahi's addition, or because her daughter had changed her outlook during this time.

"Could mother and daughter stop for a moment and come and help?"

Asahi interrupted their continued chat.

Youko blinked helplessly at Kazusa, stepped into the kitchen again, looked at Asahi who was busy there, and asked, "What help do you need?"

"Can you cook?"

Asahi couldn't help but speak first: "Cut this."

"Really impolite, I'm still going to cook a bit."

Youko muttered and rolled up her sleeves, ready to cut the meat inside the can.

Kazusa followed her to a corner, and seeing the two of them trying to make dinner together, a strange feeling suddenly rose in her heart.

"Do you know how to cut into big and small pieces?"

Asahi saw Youko's work and couldn't help but complain.

"It's fine if you can eat it or not, don't worry too much about it."

Youko's movements rusted and she quibbled.

"Don't make trouble, mother and daughter really were carved from the same mold."

Escorting Youko out of the kitchen, Asahi felt it was better to finish it himself than to ask her for help.

"Tsk, it's just that I haven't done it in a long time, and my cooking skills have decreased."

After being chased away, Youko was very unconvinced by lying on the edge of the wall and leaning halfway.

This was the first time Kazusa had seen her mother like that, she had always thought of her as a "victim".

She looked at her mother from a different perspective, but suddenly changed her perspective, and found that her mother was not who she thought.

"Asahi, make me a cup of coffee."

While meditating, Kazusa suddenly heard her mother's natural tone, which was not polite at all.

"He's a guest."

Kazusa is a bit strange about the relationship between the two of them.

Of course, her strangeness is limited to why it is so natural, and she doesn't think about some aspects.

"What is it? I'm also a woman. It's fine to be intentional once in a while."

Wait..., something seems wrong.

Kazusa is still thinking about it, but is interrupted by Youko and dragged into the basement while Asahi is cooking, she plans to hear how her daughter's piano skills have been recently.

...

More than half an hour later...

Asahi went down to the basement with two cups of coffee, and as he went downstairs, he heard the pleasant sound of a piano.

The gorgeous long black hair, the slender and feminine back silhouette, and the white fingers flying back and forth over the keyboard were just the appearance of the owner who seemed to be in a daze.

"Let's take a short break... The competition is tomorrow, so there's no point in cramming in."

After saying this, Asahi clearly felt that he was being glared at by Kazusa's cold and charming eyes which were inaccessible to others but full of charm.

Luckily, Youko agreed, and she didn't comment on the piano piece just now, which made Kazusa very nervous. Because her mother left her alone for a year, she didn't work hard, and obviously suffered a setback.

"Un, it feels just right."

Youko smiled and picked up the coffee taking a sip.

Kazusa also got up and came to get the coffee, as she brought it to her mouth, she took a sip and suddenly noticed that there was no added sugar, but the next moment, her taste buds tasted coffee with just the right amount of sweetness. At least she knows that she has a sweet tooth.

Nodding expressionlessly, Kazusa held the coffee in both hands and sat down on the bench in a daze.. "What was the result?"

Youko raised her eyebrows, Asahi casually picked up the bass and gave it a try.

Youko took another sip of coffee and said with a relaxed expression: "It's not ideal, it's really hard to win the rankings."

"Right, too bad you didn't hear Kazusa's song last time. Otherwise, you will surely be amazed."

"Oh." Youko was interested.

Asahi strummed: "If you've heard of it, you'll admit that Kazusa should be a bit more accomplished than when you were younger."

"This is your serious evaluation."

Youko was surprised: "It seems that I missed a great moment."

The sound of the conversation between the two was relatively low, and Kazusa, who was dazed, couldn't hear clearly at all.

After chatting for a few minutes, Asahi took the mother and daughter out for dinner after feeling that time was running out.

"Asahi, are you ready for tomorrow's birthday present for Kazusa?"

While eating, Youko suddenly remembered and asked.

"I don't need gifts." Kazusa emphasized.

It's a pity that the two pretended not to hear, Asahi swallowed the instant noodles, flicked his finger on the table a few times: "Um, I think it should be a special gift, but it's meaningless to say it now, how about you?"

"Hmph, I bought three special hot spring hotel tickets in advance for a private ticket, after the game tomorrow morning, I can relax for half a day."

Youko pulled out three bills out of nowhere and waved them in her hand.

"Private ticket?"

As expected of a rich lady, Asahi sighed.

"Do you think it's better to go to Ikaho Onsen in Gunma Prefecture or Hakone Onsen in Kanagawa?"

Only now did Youko remember to ask the other two for their opinion.

"Everything is alright."

Asahi says it doesn't matter.

The only thing he remembered about Ikaho Hot Springs in Gunma County was... His closest name was Mount Akina, and the car was really fast.

"And thread?"

"You decide."

Kazusa didn't seem interested in hot spring hotels.

"Tomorrow, after the game, I'll be playing in Kanagawa for a day!"
