He stepped closer, his movements measured and purposeful as though he knew his little wife could no longer escape from the moment they had both been waiting for. No matter how hard she tried to hide or deny what she felt, he could feel every emotion that surged within her to know when she was lying.

He could hear her heart racing in anticipation, yet the hesitation and nervousness that dwelled within her were the only thing that made it difficult for her to make up her mind on what she wanted, and he was going to help her make that decision tonight.

When he kept coming closer with no intention of stopping, Madeline instinctively backed away. 

Her heart raced rapidly as she continued to move back, but soon felt the table that had stopped her movements, her fingers clutching tight against the ends of the table as he had her trapped and secured under his intense gaze.
