A Hybrid

"What are you saying?" Richard always knew his son had been out of his senses for a very long time, that did not surprise him in the slightest of ways, but why would a normal human being readily volunteer to enter a death cage as if he had another life saved in his pocket?

Richard was only coming across this side of his son for the first time. He had imagined it, but never realized how true it would become.

"Well one of us has to enter and get some valuable answers." Cassian casted his father a side glance before exasperating a sigh. "I chose a good day to wake up at the wrong side of the bed, otherwise I wouldn't have made this decision.

He scoffed, averting his gaze. "Nevermind that, just let me handle it and don't interfere."

Cassian certainly didn't need his father's fake empathy, right now, he needed to stay focused on what was important, and that includes figuring out what the Fiend knows and what happened to the body of the man it now possessed.
