A few days after Natsu's incident, the first negotiations began. All guest visitors and personal guards were required to stay outside because it was a peace meeting and they didn't want unnecessary violence. Elma, being bored, decided to go and poke fun at Natsu and try to learn why he turned feral. What she found at the infirmary was straight out of a nightmare. Half of the room was destroyed and the other half was covered in blood and body parts. In the center of the room stood Natsu, who Elma thought was just as scrawny and thin as all of the other demon children she met, was, to her surprise and aw, a giant of a man. It was hard for her to look away from his scar-covered back, his massive arms, and his toned legs. In one hand he held a human soldier by the neck, who looked terrified, before crushing his neck and letting the body fall to the floor before throwing the head away. As he turned to look at Elma, a giant spear revealed itself lodged deep inside his chest.
Elma was too shocked to speak, being frozen in fear at the site of the carnage. It was her first time actually seeing a dead body, she didn't know how to react. Elma then came to her senses as Natsu began to pull the spear out. She started to feel sick as it kept moving out, slowly, Natsu not showing any sign of pain or discomfort. It was almost out. She blurted out without thinking, "Don't pull it out, you'll die!" Natsu stopped. He looked at her and smiled. Her face turned to horror as it was completely removed, and a massive hole lay in his chest. If things weren't gruesome enough, the hole started to close. She hurled. He started walking toward her. He bent down and touched her back in a reassuring way. She smacked his hand away, for she was appalled that such a creature could exist. "You're a Monster!" she screamed. Natsu stood up. "That's what they all say…" he said in a sad voice. "...I thought you would understand. You're just like them,"
