Kory dragged herself out of her car and started for the car but quickly gave up when she couldn't even see the license plate, the car sped away so fast. She turned, expecting to see Carter beside her but frowned when he wasn't. She looked around and noticed he was still in the car. She struggled with his door, pulled it open and grabbed him. He wasn't unconscious but was staring intently forward. Considering all that was in front of them was the tree that they'd slammed into she didn't think something interesting caught his eye. 


﻿"Carter" she called but he didn't answer. He didn't even blink. 


﻿"Carter listen to me, you need to get out of the car" 


﻿She didn't smell any fuel but one couldn't be too careful. Protocol stated that they got far away from the car, then called for backup.
