Fall For You

Today was a lovely day—a lovely day to avoid Atlas. I did realize that I liked him. I needed to avoid him, but, well, that's going to be really tough because we're on the same campus. and it would be hella impossible.

I was walking down the corridor when I heard Nyx yelling her larynx out. Oh god! I haven't texted her in three days.

Well, Auntie made sure I was fine, and she didn't let me leave the hospital until the doctor ran all sorts of tests they could run. And finally, after three long days—oh, did I mention Atlas took care of me while Auntie was gone? Well, if I didn't, he did.

Auntie had a rush meeting in Australia and went there immediately. When Atlas heard the news, he rushed over and went straight at me with my favorite foods. Especially with cheesecake, we did talk about our likes, hobbies, and other stuff.

Aside from being the captain at our school, he also loves poetry. He told me he couldn't write. But he really loves hearing words rhyme. He loves the messages behind all that poetry. And he was amazed at how a word can be so big.

I do have a hobby, a weird one: I love making paper origami. Yes, those paper folded into shapes. I once filled an entire bottle with heart-shaped origami because I'm very bored. It's not something I'm really proud of.

My real passion is selling. I love selling, but I really don't have money to pursue my business. I wanted to open a shop similar to a café. a small café near the lake. a peaceful scenery where people can study. where people can unwind, read books, and get away from reality.

"Yo! Sun "Are you okay?" I went back to reality when Nyx tapped my arm.

"Uh- what?"

"You must be crazy, aren't you?" she asked loudly. "Why didn't you respond to any of my messages?" she added. "Chill out, my ears might bleed," I grumbled.

"wow! so why didn't you?" She asked calmly.

"Well, I collapsed, and Atlas brought me to the hospital. "And I wasn't able to check my phone for a very loooooong time," I answered dramatically.

"Wait, you what?!" she responded, yelling next to my ear.

"I collap-" I stopped, "why do you keep yelling at my ear?" I complained.

"Bitch, why wouldn't I?" You never responded in a span of three days. Then you'll show up and tell me you collapsed? "Oh god, damn!" She said this very dramaaaaaatically while covering her mouth.

When I said dramatically, It is really very dramatic. She might win an Oscar for this. Well, I do get her point. She really cares about me, and I do care for her as well. And it's really wrong of me for not telling her what happened as soon as possible.

She really is my friend...

It was lunchtime when I saw Atlas Infront of my locker. I was about to go back to our room when

"Sun!" he called me and waved happily

Escape plan failed...

He walked near me, and my heart started to beat faster than usual. He's holding a lunch bag and a handkerchief, and he is smiling widely while looking at me.

He's a dream...

a dream that is too good to be true, so wake up, Sunny!

"Hey, are you alright?" I brought you lunch. "I thought you may not be able to bring your own because you just got back from the hospital." He said this while handing me the lunch bag.

I looked at him confused, he giggled

"what? "Are you good?" he asked teasingly.

"I'm fine; thanks, by the way!" I said while pointing at the lunch bag and started walking backwards.

"You're leaving already?" he asked seriously.

How am I going to respond to this?

"uh y-yes, well I need to fetch something at the lib. "See you around," I answered, and I started walking faster.

pheeeeeww

I went back to the room and opened the lunch bag. It has a piece of paper folded into a triangle. I opened it, and it was a letter.

Dear Sun,

I cooked this sunny-side egg for my human Sun. And yeah, please don't judge my cooking skills. It was actually my first time cooking. I also made you a bowl of porridge; I don't know what it tastes like, but I hope it tastes good. Uhm, well, that's all. Writing letters isn't my thing, so just eat well, sun.

From the most handsome human alive

Atlas

I chuckled reading the letter. What a weirdo!

I opened the lunch box, and, oh boy, what is this? The rice is red; I'm not sure if this is java rice or something like that. The sunny-side egg is a perfect circle. But the porridge in the other container is super watery. There's also a piece of pork on the side, and it looked super overcooked. Good thing he's handsome.

I grabbed a spoonful of rice and took a bite. Well, it's good for a first-timer, I guess? I tried the egg and oh god its salty. Is he trying to kill me or something?

I can imagine him cooking while panicking a lot. He's very attractive.

I mustn't do this; I should stop thinking about or imagining him. I should start avoiding everything that reminds me of him.

As the time pass by, everything went to normal and boring. But when one of our professors announced that there would be a project about making a business plan and that there would be a panel watching us present it, I knew I needed to do my very best in this one.

It was five o'clock when the bell rang; it was dismissal. I was walking down the corridor when I saw Atlas sitting on the bench, looking for someone.

Our eyes met, and I felt butterflies in my stomach. He smiled at me and started waving. Is it really me who is waiting?

Suddenly, I felt like I couldn't control myself and started walking faster. I smiled while waving at him back. We both rushed to each other, and he patted my hair after

"Are you still in a rush?" he asked.

"No, I have plenty of time," I said in a flirty way. Well, I clearly shouldn't have because I was trying to move on.

"Shall we go out for a walk?" He asked while he picked up the lunch bag in my hands.

I raised my eyebrows and chuckled as we both started walking.

We both decided to walk to the local market to get something to eat. We explored the whole market and bought some American and Korean snacks. And we went to the park, where we ran off when my father tried to hit me.

It is currently 6:30 p.m., but the park is almost empty. There are some open food stalls, but most of them are packing and preparing to close.

It was a very peaceful night, just me and him having a picnic. Under the moon, laughing, and enjoying every moment Who would have guessed that on a day like this, someday, something so unexpected could happen?
