Quest for Hikari - Episode 4

[ ~ Chapter • Start ~ ]

After waking up and doing a long exercise, I immediately walked downstairs to find out that I really wasn't at my home.

Ah, that's right.....

Today was the day where I visit my slave in Paris Academy! Though I think I'm a little early, so I have to speak to Bob and Pulptenks so that I could take several steps through my investigation of Hikari mi Blanc.

"Ah, Rance! You're... quite early." Pulptenks said as she was on the process of setting up the bar.

"I'm used to getting up real early, especially when I have a lot of investigating to do." I replied before pulling out a picture of Hikari mi Blanc and showing it to the barmaid.

"That being said, do you know her?"

"Erh... No way, she's probably a noble, so she wouldn't visit a rundown bar like this just for once..."

When she replied, I figured she wouldn't really know her, yet I was pretty hungry so I ordered a good breakfast.

Because I thought I was being too unfair, I instead convinced Pulptenks and Bob to give me a discount instead of just taking things for free.

Anyways, I left to begin exploring the Castle City, not before taking back my backpack from Bob.

I have a few hours until lunch, so I instead began asking only 5 people (for now) about Hikari mi Blanc, not just to proceed with my investigation, but to gain the attention of a certain "Mysterious Ninja"

The replies I got were pretty short, like:

Man 1: I don't know about her. Go away.

Girl 1: ...*too scared to answer*

Girl 2: Why are you even asking me? Go ask somebody else!

Girl 3: ... *she turned around and ran away from me*

Leazas Guard: The missing noble? I heard she was kidnapped by the Endless Tomorrow Group. Other than that, I have duties to perform, so I cannot help you right now.

I know 2 of the girls looked really scared, while the guard was being honest, but I wasn't able to gain a semblance of information. The first guy was just being blunt.

Hmph, that simply explains that the Ninja girl might have already threatened the other girls, hm?

After a few turns, I came across a building that looked too different from all the other buildings around the castle.

There was also a woman with black hair and green eyes sweeping the yard in the morning. She wore a red kimono with beautiful patterns, and her black hair was braided. She also had a large hairclip on the side of her hair.

Still, I'm going to make a room in the Inn my temporary base until after I finish my investigation, umu~ umu~.

I approached the girl, who noticed me as she stopped sweeping the yard in front of the Japanese-styled building.

"Oh... a customer?" She spoke, glancing at me with a gentle smile.

I replied, "Yeah. I was thinking I could book a room to stay because I am on a long search for Hikari mi Blanc. So far, my investigation was pretty useless for now as I gained no information on who kidnapped her yet." just before I showed her the picture.

"I do not know her as she hasn't visited Rock Candy, also known as this inn, once. And as you are interested in booking in my inn, please follow me inside." The girl in a kimono walked inside as I followed her to a very familiar room.

The room definitely looked like the one from the game and the H-anime. I don't have anything to say other than quite refreshing. Good enough for a base of operations where I plan how to capture a certain blue haired princess and put a stop to her capturing of cute girls like Hikari mi Blanc!

There's also a book that had a cover title named "Save/Load". Dunno what that is, but I'm just gonna ignore it as the book looked irrelevant.

And to be honest, it has been months since I have been in a JAPANese inn.

Anyways... I plan on capturing the heart of the girl that was sitting on the floor. Think of it as a little Side quest that wouldn't affect my investigation that much.

"So... ahem! May I know your name?" I began to ask the girl as she introduced herself as Nami Horikawa, Nami for short.

Though I didn't really ask her her own age, at least I got to know the innkeeper a little. Apparently, this inn was built around a year and two months ago, and that's it.

She didn't really want to tell me more of herself, but at least that was enough.

Oh, yeah. I was also informed that I pay around 10 GOLD to stay for one night, so I paid her, before leaving for Paris Academy.

I sneaked to the eastern part of the Academy and took out a whistle from my backpack.

Luckily, it's recess time as there were several girls walking around the campus, chattering about whatever they want.

So, it is time to call Sill over here!

Sill appears to be happy upon hearing what I said, and began telling me what she found out.

And as expected, the information I received was plenty useless.

"Sill, remember this: be careful around people you recently meet, and tell me about them, too."

Sill nodded, just before I touched her head, and bent her over while lifting her skirt.
