Rebellious Maidens - Episode 5: Mill's Dungeon I

[ ~ Chapter • Start ~ ]

{ PoV: Rance }

I am frustrated, worried, and surprised.

I mean, how the fuck did I not notice that Sill was teleported away? Well, I think I focused a little too much on removing the enchantments on the ring. Even if it was just pretty easy for someone with a Level 3 talent on Magic.

Still, I just internally sighed. It'd take a long while before we eventually get to Sill and Elenoir.

Before that, we've arrived deeper into the dungeon (the third floor, actually), and before that, I casted the same spell Sill used earlier.

Hm, we seem have entered the inside of a pyramid.

"The dungeon was originally just two floors, but the lower floors were just brought from various places. This floor is just a modified version of the pyramid of the pharaoh of Ringel." Maria explained, then shook her head. "I don't think I know much of this place other tan than, though. I was a little too preoccupied with my research."

I can't help but groan over this....

"Tch, you're useless." I spoke after I groaned, before Maria turned to me.

"I've told you everything I know, okay?!" She shouted, before immediately calming down.

Well, time to begin our exploration, then.

We took a few ten steps forward, and found a door with a small hole on it's center. I thought you need to put something in it, so I turned around and traced back our path to go another way.

We encountered a few monsters, and yet all of them were defeated by my [Ghost Buster Sword] and the almighty ranged weapon, [DEagle], despite Maria's curious and somewhat jealous looks.

After a short while, we arrived in a crossroads, with the front path blocked by a thick wall.

We immediately turned left, all while I began to inspect the walls and ceiling using my own [Intel Magic] that I made, known as [Reading Iris], it give me information about whatever I see, and I made it so that unnecessary information is removed to not clutter my brain with knowledge and effectively avoid hurting my head. I created this spell at LP000.

Convenient, right? If it was used on a person, I could actually know their levels, level caps, classes, skills, and etcetera.

Anyways, my [Reading Iris] began to react once we passed by something, making me turn to the left.

"What is it, Rance?" Maria asked, as she and I noticed some things on the walls.

There were four mysterious round devices, but it doesn't look like the devices would be activated through normal means, that does mean that...

"Maria, I'm going to take us to a shortcut." I spoke, approaching the first round device that I saw and extending my hands towards it.

On closer inspection with the [Reading Iris], I found out that it does lead to somewhere. Well, time to hijack it.

The same magic circles I used earlier appeared once again, as glowing strings of mana latched onto the device.

"I'm just going to make this quick enough. Just watch!" I spoke to Maria, as she began to wait for me to finish hijacking one of the four devices so that we might get to somewhere.

After a small moment, she began to ask me something.

"Uhm, Rance? What's with your weapon? You know, the small, silver thing that you used to attack monsters from a range?"

I glanced at her.

"Well, I bought it from a shopkeeper at Leazas for free. I use it as a catalyst for most magic. Dunno why it's called the Desert Eagle, though."

After that, I began to focus and concentrate a little more.

Hmmm..... almost there.... This devicr has an even more intricate, slightly more complicated magic formula than that of Maria's. Still, it's pretty easy to get through.

And, done!

A slightly blinding light engulfed us, as we were suddenly transported to another hall in this dungeon's floor.

We began to wander at this part of the dungeon, until we came to an excavation site in the dungeon.

"Merde, this is a dead end. Let's just return to where we came from." I spoke, not before Maria excitedly dashed towards something at the walls of the site and began picking up some rocks and began to fill her [Tulip 1]'s cartridge with said rocks.

All while smiling excitedly.

Hm, maybe those are the Hirara Ore she was talking about way earlier.

"Ahh!!! These are the ores I'm looking for! Finally, my [Tulip] is back in business!" She spoke, shoving more and more of the ore into the cartridge. "Now, you're all full, Tulip!"

She brandished her weapon.

Hm, she's talking to her weapon, though I do hope I could talk to a weapon like my trusty [Rance Sword MkIV] and it might reply.

Anyways....

Several Cockatrices (lizard-like Guy Monsters) appeared from the way we came, and then, Maria aimed her weapon to their direction.

"Time for a good test of firepower! Tulip, fire!" Maria spoke, with a totally excited tone.

And with that, a loud boom was heard from Maria's weapon, causing the Cockatrices to die from an explosion.

On second thought, I should take some of these ores.

I took out my [DEagle], pressed a button that would eject it's cartridge, and with the use of magic, the modified a Hirara Ore I took out from a wall to become bullets for the gun before I did the same for several more of those ores.

Seems unnecessary, but I'm planning on modifying and improving the [DEagle] later, too.

Right now, the way was cleared just from a blast from Maria's attack, so Maria pumped her fist upwards.

"Yes! It did work!"

Ignoring Maria's about to happen monologue, we traced back to where we came from and returned to where I formerly activated one of those devices.

When we came back to the crossroads, Maria stared at the wall that blocked our way.

"Can you break that wall?" I asked her, as she shook her head in denial.

"It don't think I have enough firepower to destroy that thing, but meanwhile, the other one..."

We both looked at the green slime that blocked another pathway which was blasted off by Maria's weapon.

Hm, I'm also thinking of destroying that wall later, but I'm just curious about what is beyond the destroyed slime.

We walked forwards, before both of us heard several clangs of steel nearby. When we walked closer to where the sounds came from, there was a fight between three Haniwa and a gold armored adventurer.

It seems like the Haniwa are totally winning against the adventurer, and that there were already other, dead adventurers behind her.

"Hey! Over here!" I shouted, bringing the Haniwa's attention to me and Maria as I brandished my [DEagle] and began to aim towards the Haniwa.

I pulled the trigger thrice just before Maria could say "Fire", as thee bullet made of [Hirara Ore] pierced through each Haniwa at the literal speed of sound, breaking them in the process.

To be honest, the bullets were only used to conserve mana, meaning that the damage these good girls did were purely physical and not magical. They're completely effective to these Haniwa.

When I glanced behind, Maria was surprised, annoyed, and had been pouting for a while.

Anyways, I approached the adventurer who was clinging for her life, and immediately caught her on my arms as she looked like she would fall to the ground at any moment.

This girl has purple hair, and her face made her look a little more masculine.

"Don't worry, you're safe now."

"Who are you....?" The girl asked, as I introduced myself quickly. "Oh yeah? Thanks, man... I'm Milli Yorks."

Huh, she also talks more like a man, too. Aside from that, I think she's Mill's older sister.

And then, she noticed Maria.

"Ah! Y-You're Maria Custard! What did you do to Mill, my sister....?" Milli shouted, glaring at her with anger. Even though I held her tightly so that she wouldn't be able to jump to Maria.

"Wait! Please hear me out for a moment!" Maria spoke, as Milli reluctantly did.

She told her about what happened, and she was quite shocked.

".... You mean, this man behind me can save Mill too?"

I raised my thumb up in response.

After that, we had a short amount of rest as I fed Milli an Ibeprofun.

Hm, time for us to continue our exploration.

Twenty minutes ago.....

Location: Deeper in the maze.

Sill woke up somewhere unknown to her.

"Rance? Master Rance? Where are you....?" Sill asked, as nobody responded.

And it was at this moment that she realized that she had been hit by a Teleport Wave and was transported to here alone.

She sighed, thinking that she might wait for Rance to come here, yet she couldn't shake the feeling that she might just get scolded.

"I should find a way out of here.... otherwise Master would be angry for being idle...." Sill spoke to herself, before she noticed something nearby.

There was a spring, and due to having nothing to do there, she began to take her clothes off, deciding to take a short bath on the spring.

Whatever happened to her will be explained shortly in this story.
