When Nell and Robert entered the M.R.C. Vault, they discovered that it was the same vault that had been attacked previously.
"Rattis once more." As he and Robert walked through the vault, Nell said.
"It appears so." Robert concurred.
"Once you've determined whether he took the same thing as the last time, I want you to take a comprehensive inventory of all the Owl tech in this facility and have it quietly transferred." Nell spoke out, and Robert understood exactly where he wanted it moved.
"On it. Do you think you should pay Rattis a visit?" Nell inquired.
"No, not yet. We lack evidence, therefore Kid Owl cannot begin assaulting private persons. Especially since we may be mistaken about both what was taken and who took it. But could you kindly confirm that King Owl did really put a tracker in that gun?" Nell inquired.
"None of this technology does. King Owl was always concerned that it might be used to discover the M.R.C. Secret Headquarters." Nell stated.
"He, of course, did. Correct that oversight once this technology is secure." Nell stated.
"On it," Robert responded as Jacob approached them. "What are you doing here, Jacob?" Nell inquired.
"I was personally interested in this. I'm not going to lose another youngster in war." Jacob stated.
"I wasn't even here when it happened, Jacob." Nell stated.
"Can you tell me what was stolen?" Jacob inquired.
"No, not yet. However, this vault contains a large amount of valuable, high-tech armaments. We intend to relocate the most sensitive technology to another location. One whose place I cannot reveal. Even up to the Vulture's skull." Nell spoke forward, and Jacob nodded.
"Relax, I have no desire to take over your affairs." Jacob was confident.
"Actually, I could use your assistance with something." Nell stated.
"What?" Jacob inquired.
"M.R.C. security force training I'll have Robert work on improving the security system, but I wouldn't mind if the Vulture educated my security staff to prevent these types of break-ins from becoming routine." Jacob smiled as Nell spoke.
"I'll check if any Vulture members are interested in any extra compensation for that." Nell nodded as Jacob spoke.
"Great. We're currently taking inventory of what was taken, but I'll let you know as soon as we figure it out." Nell spoke forward, and Jacob nodded.
"Take note of that. Please let me know if you want any assistance." Nell nodded as Jacob spoke.
"Will do," Nell responded as Jacob walked away.
"So you'd like Jacob to retrain M.R.C. Security?" Robert inquired.
"If I'm going to restart this plant, I need to ensure that its security can genuinely safeguard our assets, because I'm a little busy guarding the state." Nell stated.
"That's understandable. And, while you were dealing with one of your commanders, I completed an inventory of this location and determined that the railgun is missing." Robert stated.
"I'm not sure what King Owl was thinking when he kept anything like that outside the M.R.C. Military Room. It's too dangerous." Nell stated.
"The only person who genuinely knows and understands what is going on in King Owl's thoughts is King Owl himself." Nell stated.
"That's an excellent point. Years ago, I gave up trying to understand master." Nell stated.
"Clever move. But, in any case, are you going to go kick Rattis' ass?" Robert inquired.
"First, I'll walk in as Larnell Gross to make sure he has the rifle. After that, I'll place him in Rehabilitation, where he belongs. Meanwhile, why don't you search around and see if you can locate any incriminating evidence in his computers? We both know Rattis, one of those arrogant jerks who believes he's too clever to be caught. That means he'll have proof on his computers." Nell spoke forward, and Robert nodded.
"Fortunately, we have a plethora of gadgets for it." Nell smiled as Robert stated this. "It will be so satisfying to throw him behind bars once more." Nell stated. "I bet," Robert said.
When Nell returned to his office, he discovered that he didn't even need to see Rattis Elliot because he'd come to him.
"I believe you're trespassing," Nell stated.
"Come on, Baby Nell." Rattis stated. "Rattis, call first the next time." Nell stated.
"What's the matter with you?" Rattis inquired, and Nell had to restrain himself from saying "you."
"M.R.C. Vault is dealing with a break-in. Someone stole a high-tech weapon." Nell stated.
"Really. That's terrible." Rattis stated.
"What's worse is that all rifles manufactured by M.R.C. Vault contain integrated trackers. So it's only a matter of time before the thief appears." Nell said this thinking Rattis wouldn't notice if he was lying.
"Really. So, I'm confident that will turn up." Rattis stated. "So, what brought you here in the first place?" Nell inquired.
"I just stopped by to invite you to a party I'm throwing tomorrow night to celebrate finally being richer than King Owl's small hero program, or empire. Whatever name you want to give it." Ratti replied, and Nell couldn't help but roll his eyes because Rattis' fortune was likely to run out.
"I'll make it." Nell pledged to take him down as he walked out of his office, but not before clapping his shoulder to say farewell.
"Wow, I'd forgotten how much of a jerk he is." Nell said as Robert walked into her office.
"The bug is now in place. I'll be able to access his Data Files and security system as soon as he returns to his office." Robert stated.
"Good. We should have everything we need to take him down by the time I get at Rattis' party." Nell stated.
