"So, what's the game plan?" I didn't suppose Rattis Elliot needed both the Kid Owl and the Badger?" Robert inquired as Nell and Chloe, both dressed but without masks, returned to the main hub.
"No, he doesn't. But he's rigged the other elevators to fall and kill the people inside, so while Kid Owl struggles with the insane bastard, I'm going to evacuate the remaining elevators so that if Rattis does drop them, he'll just be dropping a lot of empty boxes." Chloe elaborated.
"However, in case that doesn't work, you should try this." As he handed Helena a device, Luke stated.
"What is it?" Chloe inquired.
"It's a digital scrambler." If you put this in the control room, it will allow me to seize control of the elevators from Rattis and simply place them on the ground floor, removing his leverage." Chloe nodded as Robert spoke.
"Got it. I've charged the gauntlet my father made to disable the pistol, but don't use it until you see him with it." Nell stated.
"I know. But, aside from this railgun, I'm curious whether these suits have any other flaws, given that I'm presuming your suit is built from the same digital energy as mine?" Nell inquired of Chloe.
"After all, only the best for his sidekick." Nell rolled his eyes as Chloe said.
"I'm shocked he didn't flash a signal light at you like you were Takeda." Chloe shrugged as Nell said.
"Because Takeda arrived before the Badger, that would be theft." Anyway, let's get started." As they both digitalized their masks and exited, Chloe murmured and Nell nodded.
Rattis was pacing on the roof of his building, wondering if King Owl would ever return to Maryland, when he was struck by a Gray Dagger.
He turned back, expecting to see King Owl, but instead saw only Kid Owl.
"I don't believe you get how this works. I requested your master. No, not you." Rattis stated.
"And even if he was here, he wouldn't waste his time on you." stated King Owl.
"Well, I guess you've left me with no choice." Rattis stated as he took out his phone, only for Kid Owl to whip out another Gray Dagger.
"If I were you, I wouldn't do that." Those elevators are dead man switches. If I drop this phone, the elevators will follow." Rattis stated.
"Would you mind confirming?" Kid Owl inquired of his comms.
"Thanks to the advanced optics in your mask, absolutely." I'm scanning the phone, and Rattis appears to be significantly smarter than he appears. That's a switch for a dead man. We can't risk triggering it until I get control of the elevators." Luke remarked over the intercom.
"Badger, how are you doing?" Kid Owl inquired.
"I've placed the hacker; now I'm on my way to release the hostages." Badger said.
"Come on, hurry up. "I'm not sure how long I can keep this guy distracted." said Kid Owl.
"What happens if Kid Owl finds the phone, Robert?" Badger inquired.
"That could work. Rattis is unlikely to have been astute enough to wire the deceased man's switch to turn off if it ever left his grasp. It'll most likely only detonate if it strikes the ground." Robert stated.
"I'll take care of it," Kid Owl responded.
"Oh, you were just chatting to Chloe." Her fusing was inept." Rattis stated.
"What the hell is that?" Kid Owl inquired.
"Because if she doesn't back down, the entire world will discover the Badger's true identity." Rattis stated.
"What are you on about?" Kid Owl inquired.
"I've purchased insurance." If I'm unable to stop it, one of my associates will utilize a secret uplink to broadcast her identify to the entire state of Maryland, and it will only be a short leap for people to realize who King Owl is." Rattis stated.
"You're bluffing; you're not intelligent enough to do so." said Kid Owl.
"Are you sure you want to take that chance?" Ratis inquired, and Kid Owl exhaled deeply.
"Badger, please have a seat. We can't risk him revealing you or King Owl." said Kid Owl.
"He can't," Badger explained.
"What exactly do you mean?" Kid Owl inquired.
"On the way to the M.R.C., I called a contact." Rattis has removed every piece of evidence he has that I am the Badger on a digital forum. In reality, what remained could be seen as Rattis stalking me." Kid Owl grinned as Badger spoke.
"You have nothing on any of us." Rattis, Kid Owl stated with a smile.
"What?" Rattis inquired.
"Your evidence has vanished," Kid Owl stated.
"And now the Owl is as well." Ratis remarked this as he drew out the railgun and aimed it at him, only for Kid Owl to quickly activate the gauntlet and send the gun flying out of his hand, before grabbing the phone from Rattis and pressing the disarm button on the phone.
"How about that?" Robert inquired.
"Bombs have been deactivated," Kid Owl stated.
"That's good since the Vultures are on their way." Because Jacob despises you, you should make yourself scarce." Badger said.
"Copy that, and put the elevators back on the ground floor for safety." said Kid Owl.
"I'll take care of it." Robert stated as Kid Owl tied Rattis up for the cops to locate, along with the phone, then used a grappling hook to swing out while Badger also left the scene using Data Level 2. (Quick Borrow).
Nichole grinned from a distance as she watched what was happening, because these occurrences had just verified her thoughts.
"All right, all right. It appears that I am not the only one doing something that my father despises." Nichole appeared to be speaking to herself.
"What was the purpose of that Nichole?" "All you did was arrest Rattis Elliot." Mitchell inquired.
"Because I've had my suspicions about Kid Owl's identity since he first arrived, and this incident has just proven it, while also removing a significant threat to him." Nichole explained.
"What makes you think that?" Mitchell inquired.
"Because no one else gets to murder King Owl's student except me." Nichole explained.
"Wait, what do you mean?" Mitchell inquired.
"Oh sure, my dear Mitchell." Kid Owl is none other than Larnell Gross, Kid Owl's outstanding student and Microsoft X's selected from another world." Nichole grinned, thinking that this was going to be even more fun than she had anticipated.
