Chapter 68

Nell was on his roof talking to Microsoft X on the phone.

"I hope your team was what you thought it would be", said Microsoft X.

"No, this team seems discombobulated and problematic. The leader also is a dick to me", said Nell pacing back and forth on his roof.

"Jayden is just a hardworking kid. He likes to be respected and treated well", said Microsoft X.

"Well, I tried to be respectful and calm like you asked", said Nell still pacing.

"Nell", said Microsoft X.

"Yes… I know you want me to try harder. I know…", said Nell trying to make things easier for Microsoft X.

"Look up at the sky", said Microsoft X.

"Ok", said Nell looking up towards the night sky.

"See how beautiful the heavens are. The stars glitter in space with heaven's energy surrounding us in its safe aura. As a being from the Outer World's, I'm pleased to have come to earth thousands of years ago", said Microsoft X.

"The sky is beautiful. And I'm happy you are here. With you we can keep existence safe. That's why I work for you. I'm a warrior in your agency", said Nell looking still up at the beautiful night sky to see the moon.

Microsoft X smiled. "Nell, you work with me. You know all of you are my team. Together we can do anything", said Microsoft X.

"You are too optimistic boss. You know my job is to protect you will my life. I'm an owl just like my master. He fought for you so I will too", said Nell smiling with his eyes closed.

"Listen you need to get some sleep Nell, tomorrow is the day before your mission", said Microsoft X.

"Yeah… but the mission is for a newbie. A Tier 1 X Warrior could do it", said Nell.

"Just because the mission is easy doesn't mean you shouldn't try your best", said Microsoft X.

"You're right", said Nell smiling.

"See you tomorrow", said Microsoft X. 

"See you tomorrow boss", said Nell hanging up. 

Nell stood up and crawled back into the attic window so he could sneak back into his bedroom. Nell opened his bedroom door and saw someone sitting on his bed wiping their tears. Nell wasn't expecting to see someone in his room and didn't know what to do when he saw it was his teammate crying. Nell at first wasn't going to do anything intel he noticed she was touching his master chief toy that was supposed to be perfectly next to his batman action figure. Nell burst into his room.

"What are you doing!", shouted Nell at Helena while looking at his Master Chief toy while sitting on his bed.

"I'm just playing with your toy", said Helena shaking his toy.

"Don't do that!", shouted Nell running into his room to snatch his Master Chief away from Helena.

"Umm…", said Helena confused to see Nell so defensive about a toy.

"You could have damaged his paint; do you know how expensive he was and how beautiful he is. You uncivilized people need help". said Nell holding Master Chief next to his chest.

Helena started to giggle when she saw how childish Nell acts when his toy is in danger.

"What's so funny. Why are you even here", said Nell.

"Sorry", said Helena moving her hair while looking down at her feet. Nell stood straight so he could listen. "I got into a fight with Jayden. He said I would run my mouth to his friends, and I didn't want to do that because I love him. So, I came here to talk to you if that's ok", asked Helena.

"Umm… Ok", said Nell confused. 

"That sounded unsure", said Helena giggling taking her hair out of a ponytail. 

Nell sat beside Helena. "Why did the argument happen", asked Nell while he was putting his Master Chief toy next to the Takeda toy on his window seal.

"Just the usual relationship stuff", said Helena rubbing her arm.

Nell looked at her and saw her body language change. "Are you sure you're ok", asked Nell.

"Yeah, I told you I am", said Helena looking at Nell.

"Well, you did a defensive move to cover yourself", said Nell.

"What… No… I'm just nervous", said Helena giggling looking left and right.

"You don't have to lie", said Nell getting up walking over to his mini fridge. "You can tell me the truth, no one is going to hurt you here", said Nell as he opened the fridge and got a water bottle to give to Helena.

"Ok, ill tell you the truth", said Helena taking the water bottle.

"Me and Jayden get in arguments a lot because he compares our relationships to others. And he doesn't trust me around other men", said Helena opening the cap of the water bottle so she can drink some water.

"So… you to are just having relationship issues", asked Nell confused.

"Yeah", said Helena.

"And you ran all the way to get away from him", said Nell.

"Yes, I flew all the way here", said Helena.

Nell sighed. He could tell Helena didn't want to go back to where she came from. "Ok. You can stay the night", said Nell looking at Helena.

"Really", said Helena shocked he let her stay.

"Sure, just give me a sec", said Nell getting up to walk over to the closet. 

"What are you doing", asked Helena.

"I'm dressed in my pajama's", said Nell opening his closet to get some old night clothes his oldest sister wore when she lived here. 

Nell pulled out one of her old night gowns and walked over to Helena. Helena stood up and took the night from Nell will a smile. 

"You can use my bathroom to change," said Nell.

"Thanks", said Helena moving quickly over towards Nell's bathroom so she can change into the gown.

Nell leaned down onto the floor and pulled out an under bead connected to the bed he uses. His sister and him used to share the same room till she went to college, so now he uses it for Savo. But Savo is sleeping in his cage today. Nell made sure the pillows and sheets were ready for her to use so she can sleep well tonight. Helena in the bathroom put the nightgown on and checked her teeth and in her nose to see if she had any boogers. Helena finally feeling comfortable with herself in the gown she walked out the bathroom.

"I'm nice and comfortable", said Helena smiling. 

"Good", said Nell showing her the bottom bed.

"Wow. That's perfect", said Helena walking up to Nell clapping her hands looking down at the lower bed. 

"I'm happy you like it", said Nell with a small smile. "I'm trying to be nicer to my peers", said Nell.

"Ok. Can I lay down", asked Helena looking down at the bed.

"Yeah, go ahead", said Nell.

Helena moved the covers on the bed and rolled onto the bottom bed. Nell got onto his bed and started to try and get comfortable. Nell clapped his hands so the light would turn off in his room. The room became dark, but light from the window near his bed brought in light from the moon and stars. Helena on her side had to say one more thing.

"Hey Nell", said Helena looking the opposite direction of the room from Nell while laying down.

"Yes", said Nell looking out the window while laying down.

"Thank you", said Helena resting her head on the people she was given to use for tonight.

"No problem. We are a team", said Nell resting his head remembering what Microsoft X said. To be nice to his team. To be care for what he has gained.
