Chapter 98

Soul Sakura and Dark Ox met Jordan and Christian in the planning room. Christian and Jordan were watching tv to see the incident with their own eye's. Helena and Jayden both defused.

"Whoever did this got that close without feeling threatened at all", said Christian looking away from the tv to look at Helena and Jayden.

"Whoever did this tried to not just kill us but my sister. How did the person even know that was my sister and even her room number", said Helena sitting down still with anger in her heart.

"Maybe this person is working with Kayla Ino", said Jordan walking over towards Helena to try and comfort her.

"Even if so, we must find this person and catch them as quickly as possible to find out what and why they are trying to not just kill us", said Jayden looking at all his teammates.

Scotty and Shawn were both on the roof of the building where they were told the person shot the arrow at. But they couldn't figure anything out at all. 

"Nothing", said Scotty looking through the surveillance cameras on his iPad for both buildings she used to shoot from, and the hospital Emma was in.

"A cold case isn't good", said Shawn looking at Scotty from behind waiting for Scotty to figure something out.

"I know, especially when it's one of our operatives that was attacked", said Scotty trying to find anything he could on the matter.

"Maybe the person is a high-class Assassin like Ms. Harper", said Target coming from a portal.

"No that's impossible", said Shawn turning to look at Target. "Harper would have found this out herself weeks ago and dealt with it herself. She enjoys taking down assassins just like herself", said Shawn looking at Target in the cold Alaskan weather.

Target breathed out a sigh of disappointment to know that maybe this individual is more of a problem than they hoped.

"Ava said she spoke to Rowan", said Scotty still looking through the camera feeds.

"And" said Shawn waiting for Scotty to finish his sentence.

"Rowan claims he knows no one who could have done something like this", said Scotty looking up from his iPad to look at Shawn. 

"I don't believe him", said Target looking at both Shawn and Scotty.

"No one does", said Shawn walking around on the roof with his hands in his pocket.

"But we can't just beat him into giving us answers, that's against the rules because America doesn't support unlawful interrogation", said Target.

"Well, that's what they say. I know the CIA has interrogated people aggressively. Its just a different time now", said Scotty.

"So, what now", said Target.

"We'll go back to the MRC headquarters in New York and try to investigate even more tonight. We must figure something out before night falls, I hope", said Scotty looking at Shawn.

Helena, Jordan, Jayden, and Christian were all sitting in the basement talking to each other of what happened and how it could have happened.

"Whoever did this isn't going to be found easily", said Christian looking around at his allies at the table.

"But that doesn't mean we shouldn't be worried, this person could be anywhere", said Jayden.

"Yeah, but if we can't find the individual, we are stumped then", said Jordan.

"Well, whoever did it is going to get a severe ass whipping from me", said Helena looking at the files.

"Listen, going upset won't solve anything", said Jayden.

"Listen. Shawn and Scotty said they might have some info on the situation by tomorrow. We should rest a little then get back to planning", said Christian looking at everyone at the table.

"I can't rest, I have to go back to my sister", said Helena looking at Christian.

"I understand that, but Helena we all need rest. We've been up for almost an entire day trying to complete everything we've started today", said Christian.

"But who's going to protect my sister while I sleep", said Helena still worried and anxious.

Jordan and Christian both looked at each other. "We will", said the both of them.

"Are you sure", asked Helena looking at both Christian and Jayden.

"Yes. We didn't get to fight today, Helena. So, we have a lot more energy than you and Jayden", said Christian.

"Yeah, and don't worry. No one's going to get past a giant werewolf and a monkey God", said Jordan smiling at Helena.

Helena nodded lightly while looking at both Christian and Jordan. "Ok, I trust you two".

"Awesome!", said Jordan jumping up out of his seat.

"We promise we'll take good care of your sister. We promise", said Christian getting up from his seat.

"Thank you, guys,", said Helena smiling at both Jordan and Christian.

Jordan and Christian walked up to Helena and hugged her tight to give her comfort before they get ready to leave. Helena embraced them both while starting to tear up. The only one who didn't join in the hug was Jayden who was still looking at information about Rowan and Kayla. 

Jayden couldn't understand why someone would attack so close to their enemies and somehow escape so easily.
