Chapter 103 (Still Looking in the Past)

Nell was in a small-town walking through the mostly empty streets. This place wasn't a huge town, only a population of 270 people. Nell was walking through the small town and saw a sign that said-

[Welcome to North San Juan]

Nell walked into the small town and looked around to see such beautiful architecture in such a small town. The location is very mountainous, and Nell couldn't understand why Microsoft X would have a mission this far out. But whatever was here, Microsoft X needed whoever sent to speak to a man named Gideon Malcom.

Nell walked towards a Small INN he saw in this small town. Nell walking in through the front door of the Small INN. Nell walked up to the front desk and saw a female lady with pointed ears and glasses who was typing on a computer behind the desk. The lady at the front desk looked up from the computer and saw Nell standing in front of the desk she was behind.

"Hello sir, how may I help you", asked the lady behind the desk.

Nell looked at the name badge she was wearing and used the name he saw to address her politely.

"Hello. I'm here to rent a room for myself Ms. Luna", said Nell looking at her.

"Of course,", said Luna typing into her board and room checking.

While waiting Nell looked around at all the small antiques around in the lobby used to make the place look old-fashioned. Nell wasn't a big fan of this badge look, but if it made this place able to sell rooms, Nell had nothing negative to say.

"Sir, we have a room open for you paid for by someone already", said Luna looking at the computer.

"I see. It seems my father made sure to make sure I was comfortable", said Nell smiling at Luna.

"No problem, here's your key", said Luna handing the key to Nell.

'Thankyou Ms. Luna", said Nell taking the key from her.

After handing the key away Luna was still smiling at Nell. "Call me just Luna sweeAnnart. This is a small town, and everyone here is like family. A little elf like me shouldn't make this place too serious", said Luna giggling wiping her glasses.

"Oh, no problem, and thanks again", said Nell looking at the number on the key.

"Walk down the hall past the desk and take a left and your room should be right there. Number 104", said Luna.

"Thanks again", said Nell walking past the desk and walked down the hall towards his room.

Nell took a left at the end of the hall and saw his room number 104. Nell took the key and pushed it into the keyholes so he could open the door to his room. Nell opened walked into his room and saw the small room he was going to be staying in intel he completes this mission. The room wasn't too small, it had a bedroom area, a small kitchen, living room and bathroom. Nell walked fully into the living room and saw a vase with flowers in the middle of the room. Nell sat on the two-seat couch and looked at the tv he had in his room. It was a 28-inch tv flat screen tv that only had the basic channels. But Nell didn't care, he was here on a mission not for vacation. Nell took his phone out his pocket and dialed Microsoft X. The phone rang for four seconds intel he heard Microsoft X pick up.

"Hey Nell, you made it", said Microsoft X talking to Nell with excitement.

"Yes, I did. So, I've been looking around in my room and nothing seems to bad", said Nell getting up to walk into the kitchen.

"I have everything I need for you coming in a sec ok", said Microsoft X.

"Really, I thought you wouldn't have been prepared as usual because you know… your always busy", said Nell opening the refrigerator to see all that was in it was some fruit and two bottles of water.

"Don't worry about anything. This mission may be easy but it's important to get information. So, I believe in you. Don't get yourself killed. If it gets to become too much come back", said Microsoft X with a worried tone.

"Don't worry about me. I'll get this done. If I could handle a corrupted verse, I can handle this", said Nell with confidence in his voice.

Microsoft X giggled lightly on the phone. "You do know another me from that world had to save you. Right…", said Microsoft X making fun of Nell.

Nell sighed. "Yes, you're right, but this is different", said Nell.

"I know, but don't eat or drink anything there, I'll send you food as well", said Microsoft X.

"Ok", said Nell going into the bedroom to look at his bed.

"Great. I'll have everything for you in ten minutes", said Microsoft X.

"Ok, I'll be waiting", said Nell.

"I know you will be", said Microsoft X hanging up on the phone will Nell.

Nell smiled looking when he took the phone from his ear. "He's so excited to help me even on just a small mission".

Nell flopped onto the bed fast first and stretched while in bed. Nell plugged up his phone charger into the outlet next to the bed. Nell plugged in his phone and fully lay down so he could get some rest. That's all he really wanted at that moment after taking a full three-day trip to this location by train. Nell shut his eyes so he could take a quick nap before getting to work on this small mission.
