CHAPTER 31: SARAH

Sarah turned her head angrily and glared at Meleek, who was causing a commotion that she didn't want to participate in.

Meleek knew he was doomed when he saw the angry expression in those eyes, but as a proud person, he didn't want to show it. He will be eternally doomed if he cowers at this crucial moment.

Instead of backing down, he walked confidently forward and wrapped his arm around Sarah's waist to claim what was rightfully his.

Sarah had become his darling, in his mind the second the two did that yesterday night, and he didn't care what Sarah thought of it. He wasn't the type to let go of prey once he'd found it.

Sia choked up as she watched Meleek's bravado, and Richard, too, was taken aback by the little devil's possessiveness.

'What did Sarah feed Meleek to make him act like this?'

"Umphh, you'd better behave for me or you'll never see me again!" Sarah threatened in a murmur, but Meleek heard it loud and clear.

"But_"

Sarah's small hands rose up and went behind the back of her head before he could finish. Everyone knew what was going to happen, and some were praying silently in their hearts.

[Please, let her be ordinary.]

[I'm hoping she's ugly.]

[She is obviously a beauty, judging by her confidence and the young man's adoration.]

[I am only here to watch some drama!]

[Another melon-eater, here!]

Meleek was scowling at those who had promoted the idea of allowing Sarah to show her face to others, including Sia, while Sarah was busy untying the veil.

Sia, who was familiar with the lethal gaze, simply leaned toward Richard for protection. She didn't want to suffer at the hands of Meleek for whatever reason.

"Don't worry, he's not going to do anything. He's simply envious." Richard reassured Sia amusingly.

Richard, as a man, understood why Meleek was acting this way. He also detested it when any man or woman looked at his lover.

This is why, after seeing what Sia wore at the club yesterday, he flew overnight to be with her.

What happened after Sarah appeared?

It was something that everyone who attended the banquet will remember for the rest of their lives.

Sarah, Sia, Richard, and Meleek were currently enjoying some wine inside the private club of the hotel where she was staying while in Srad, while soft music was playing.

They left the banquet a little early, not because of disagreements, but because they wanted to.

Sarah managed to persuade many people by showing her face, and she was in a good mood after leaving the link to the online store for those who were interested.

Meleek followed them to the hotel like a leech, and there was nothing the three of them could do to stop him. Finally, Sarah returned to the hotel in Meleek's fantastic sports car, which she adores.

She would have loved to buy one for herself if she didn't live on a farm. Maybe in the future, when she lives in the city, she will have one.

With Meleek making himself at home, Sarah simply ignored him and changed into something more casual and appropriate for hanging out.

This resulted in Meleek doing his best to rub his body throughout Sarah's entire being.

Sia was already too numb to notice this, so she turned her attention to Richard, who had traveled from afar to be with her and had taken her home at the same time.

Sarah was minding her own business, playing with her phone, chatting with O'Neal, and doing her best to keep Meleek out of her hair, when Sia asked her a question.

"Big sis, I've never really inquired about what you do or where you live. Do you mind telling me that I'll be leaving tomorrow?"

This question astounded everyone, especially Sarah, who hadn't expected Sia to finally have the courage to ask her this question.

After she had recovered from the shock, she smiled at Sia and asked gently, "are you sure you want to know about it?"

Sia was nervous as she noticed Sarah putting her phone down to respond, but she needed to know something about this friend she made or she would be anxious when she left, "yes, I want to know, and I can share my side as well," Sia said.

"I am Sarah Roberts, age thirty-three years old, a mother of two wonderful children, and currently reside in a very remote place between Belmore city and Taco," Sarah said brightly to the girl and then the two curious adults.

Everyone was taken aback; the age and motherhood were not something they expected to hear, especially from someone who appeared to be twenty-five or twenty-six.

Meleek's stunned expression was a source of pride for Richard. Although Sarah had told Meleek about her age the night before, he thought she was just bluffing and lying to him.

But when she said it again, this time with the children, he felt as if the world was conspiring against him.

Sia was elated to hear this news because it meant that whatever Sarah was using was effective, and if it worked for Sarah, it would also work for her.

And for someone like Sarah to disregard her age and be nice to her over the last few days, Sia was extremely happy, and she couldn't stop herself from asking more questions.

"Where is that place? Is it nice? Where are your children?"

Sarah was bombarded with questions, but she responded warmly because she had nothing to hide; after all, they wouldn't be able to find much about her, especially the current her, even if they searched.

"I own a farm with...... And my children live with my parents in another country. I haven't seen them in years, but I guess I'll see them soon," Sarah lamented.

Meleek had adjusted his mindset by this point and was staring intently at the woman who had turned his world upside down in less than twenty-four hours.
