CHAPTER 40: FAMILY MATTERS 2

"Are you serious?" Sarah cursed as she listened to her personal bodyguard's report.

"I'm afraid you won't be able to see the twins for some time. Your mother grounded the two of them for meeting up with you," her attractive and devilish young personal bodyguard informed her.

Sarah was about to explode with rage as she remembered what her bodyguard had said.

"Don't you have a nicer way of saying this?" Sarah's rage was directed at the young man.

"You already know I can't do that. I prefer to be direct with my words and actions," the young man replied fearlessly.

Sarah glared angrily at the young man, convinced that one day she would die as a result of him.

So much had changed in the last three months. Despite being new to the industry, the Dew brokerage firm emerged as a giant. The profits earned in just one week were simply incredible, and those who invested in the firm received their returns and were overjoyed.

After determining that the company was legitimate, Alice began to take her work more seriously and began to bring in more clients for the company.

In three months, the firm had a lot of clients.

She was looking forward to the number of employees increasing when she started.

The office building was completed two months ago, and all of her companies have moved in. Sarah no longer had to be concerned about the lack of office space after it was completed.

DEW BEAUTY introduced new products to the public, and women, in particular, welcomed them with open arms. Sarah had no shortage of drinks because the factory was open and producing the slimming beverages in large batches.

Sarah agreed to complete a mission once a week last time, and her points earned from missions have increased in the last few months, even after accounting for the system's trading fees.

One of the missions she accepted seven weeks ago was to go to Ciliren, where Thesa was living. Thesa was overjoyed to see her and show her around.

She received an urgent mission two days after arriving in Ciliren, requiring her to go and save someone. Sarah was forced to use her health points after meeting the person she was going to save to purchase some expensive healing pills.

She assumed that after saving this person, they would both go their separate ways; after all, she had saved him and didn't bother to linger.

She didn't want to be questioned or nurse an adult man, but who knew the person she saved wasn't a normal human being?

This person pursued her, found her, and decided to repay her with his body for saving his life. She had never encountered a scumbag who wouldn't leave her side.

She eventually accepted him because his abilities terrified her. She even wore a veil that night, and with the system assisting her, no one can find her information, no matter how powerful they are, and yet this person was able to track her.

As if that wasn't enough, the system assigned her another mission: to make this mysterious her own. One can already imagine what happened next.

This sticky individual not only became her other boy, but he also instills hatred in O'Neal whenever he has the opportunity. She likes him a lot because he isn't bothered by much, and doesn't care how many boys she has or intends to keep.

For him, being by her side is everything.

Sarah decided to go see them because her companies were becoming a huge problem to manage. She remembered how her father was a great leader and was good at managing the business.

Of course, she failed to see them, not because they refused to see her, but because she faltered. After traveling all the way to country X to see them, she became terrified.

She felt she didn't deserve to see them after what she had done to them and her children.

Quinton, her personal bodyguard, suggested that she start with the kids before meeting the parents, which made sense to her, so she tried it. And it worked like magic; even though the kids had no idea, she was their mother and simply treated her as a big sister, she was delighted.

She had been very happy to be able to reconnect and spend time with her children, which she couldn't do before, and now her mother has poured cold water on top of her head and sabotaged everything.

"I'm not sure I can face my mother right now. How do you think I should proceed?" Sarah nervously asked Quinton, who was always coming up with clever tricks.

"Dear, it has already come to this stage," Quinton said as he gently embraced the woman he fell in love with at first sight, "instead of hiding, you should face everything head-on. They are your parents, and they will never, ever abandon you. Simply meet with them and go over everything. They will recognize you."

Sarah looked at Quinton, perplexed; wasn't he supposed to come up with something other than direct confrontation?

"Do you want to live the rest of your life as a coward?" Quinton inquired solemnly, his gaze cold.

"I don't want to be one," Sarah shivered, shaking her head, "I'll meet them and make time for myself when the kids aren't around."

Sarah slipped from Quinton's grasp and made her way to her room. She needed to be alone right now because he constantly distracted her.

"Don't worry darling, I will not allow anything to happen to you as long as I am here," Quinton said, squinting his eyes, "I will assist you with anything you require because I have made up my mind to do so."

Erica Roberts looked at her husband, who had been absentminded for some time now after she had dropped the bomb on him.

"Dear, why don't you say anything?" Erica was worried because her husband was not responding to her.

Michael looked at his wife, unsure of what to say to her. This woman had been by his side since he was a child and had been through a lot with him.
