I miss US

Well...it was Archie's beautiful and legible writing in her note that shocked her. It has been long since he had written for her.

Olive remembered during chemistry class that she had to leave the class for a few minutes, when she got back she realized Archie left his note to write for her. That melted her heart so, she decided to write his own also. Their way of displaying love was strange but unique. So, seeing that note brought memories.

" When did he....how....why???", Olive was shocked that she could not pit her words properly.

" Oh yeah, it was Archie who took your note. I am sorry I forgot to tell you". Esther lied. She did not forget, she was just following instructions given to her by Archie not to tell Olive that he was the one who took the note.

" Yeah, I figured", Olive said.

A note suddenly slipped from Olive's note.

" Great, he finally wrote for me but, did he have to also tear it?". Olive picked it up thinking it was a piece from her note. Started reading, the found out it was a note from....ARCHIE.

" Hey Olive!

I am so sorry for the way I have been acting. I just did not know how to face you. I l still don't know, but I would try to today. I hope you don't try to ignore me like I did to you, well...I have already said my reason. Writing for you is a little way to show you that I still care for you.

Well...I am really sorry. Let's play and talk like we used to during our lunch. I miss US. :)

Olive did not know what she was feeling. There was both love and doubt. The love she was feeling seemed normal since she has always liked him and still likes him.

Doubt, because she did not feel it was right.

' He still cares.....He misses me....then why did he break up?'

" Are you and Archie dating?", Esther asked.

" No!!!" Olive replied alarmed " Why would you think of something like that?", Olive alertly asked.

" Well.... I did not think of it. You said it yourself", Esther stared baffled at Olive strangely.

" Oh my! I said that out loud right?", Olive asked disturbed.

" Yes"

" How much did you hear?", Olive asked.

" How much did you say?", Esther asked back.

" I don't know. It all depends on what you heard And, whatever it is that you heard, do not disclose it to anyone. I don't want you to go about spreading rumors", Olive warned.

" I only heard when you said that he misses and cares for you. And, I could roughly guess who you were talking about. You also really need to stop saying tour thoughts out loud", Esther said.

" Okay can you please promise not to tell anyone about it. Please".

" Fine", Esther agreed.

She was not even planning on telling anyone. So the least she could was to promise to make Olive relieved a little bit.

Olive was forced to look at Archie's direction. And that was not a good choice at all as, she caught him ALREADY staring at her. That totally caught her by surprise. Both bot knowing what to do and not wanting to look away first, started a ataring contest.

That was the craziest thing they had ever done. Surprisingly, Olive did not feel anything by looking at his eyes. She decided to end the awkwardness with a laugh, blinked awkwardly and then turned her gaze from him.

' I wish I know what is running through his head!'.

" At first I did not really suspect but, watching you two do whatever you just did has answered my question. I juat can't believe that I have been so naïve and never noticed despite sitting right next to you. You sure know how to keep secrets".

" Ummmm. Thank you' I guess'. But you have to promise not to tell anyone", Olive warned again. ' I really don't have the strength to explain anything to anyone right now. Archie, you have done a great job in making people suspect we are dating right after our breakup'. Sigh****

" I promise, I won't tell. You really don't have to sigh", Esther assured.

' She did not hear my thought this time. I guess I am already improving'. " Okay, thank you again".

Both laughed and got engaged in other activities.

Archie approached Olive in the library and the first thing he could ask was" How does it feel without me".

Olive got quite upset with that question and angrily, yet politely said" You mean being alone right? Well, the one goose thing about being alone is that I have so much time for myself".

Olive was actually waiting for a reaction but got no doubt. That really hurt her like crazy. Urghhhh. The pain in Olive's heart right now. And this is where DOUBT overpowers her LOVE.

" Can I go now?", Olive painfully asked. This simple statement got a reaction but not a negative one.

" It's okay if you don't want to talk but, can you at least be less rude?", Archie said. " I admit that I was the one that ended it but, can you at least be less rude".

Rude how????

" Okay. I will be more polite and, sorry if you think I was rude", Olive managed to say.' I can't believe I once liked him. He is handsome and I was so f*cking lucky to have been his girlfriend but, he is so annoyed. He acts very rude to me until public but does not want me to do the same, not even a little bit in private'.

Archie said nothing and just left. that really hurt her to the point that she was close tooo tears.

' I don't believe he once liked me. I am not even sure he even liked me'. Tears welled up in her eyes as she thought about it.

" Should I advice you on what you should do?" A classmate said, no that heard everything and immediately guesses the relationship between Olive and Archie.

" Unasked advice is a trespass on sacred privacy", Olive said.

" So??" She asked with a raised eyebrow. " What do you mean?"

" It means your advice is not needed", Olive said.

" Oh please. I am sure it is because of this attitude you guys didn't even last for long".

" Urghhh!!!!!. You just don't get it. I fear explanations explanatory of things explained".

" See. I am not really interested in your matter anymore. But, you kind of creep me out", the girl said.

" How??. Selena talk", Olive asked Selena.

Selena is the name of the girl that had been talking to Olive.

" We just had a little conversation and you have already quoted twice now. Incase you have forgotten, I am an art student and I read a lot. I am just surprised that a science student like you knows that much and that's kind of creepy. ", Selena honestly admitted.

' When did mine and Archie's relationship turn out this way? That I even need help from an outsider'. Olive wondered.

" Oh, thank you. And, I am sorry for my previous approach toward you".

" Well.... I guess I can take this one. But, you really need to learn how to talk to people, especially those trying to be nice to you".

" Okay".

Olive is blessed with settling dispute with people so easily but not so blessed when it comes to Archie.
