It was all a lie

And that made Olive take back her words.

All least he still has a conscience. Olive and Archie spoke which was now very unusual.

Archie had answered her whenever she called him. She for the first time since they broke up felt comfortable around him.

Urghhhhh

Since she had been determined, she must do what was on her mind.

' I know he has a girlfriend'

' I know I would not be happy if he cheated on me like that too'

' Is this really the best idea?'

Olive was thinking all the way to Archie's class and didn't even know when she got there.

The teacher wrote a note on the board but Archie couldn't write it before the period went. The teacher and the other students left and it was just them. Olive approached Archie and asked to help him write his note, he stared at her with confusion written all over.

Olive sighed at that sight and had to explain to him saying" Since we are now friends, it would not be bad if I help you with your note".

To her surprise, he willingly agreed. She expected him to still stay or even say something like thank you but got none. He said nothing, stood up for her and left the very big classroom.

" What was I expecting?"

She resignedly wrote the note and expected nothing more.

Archie came back which kind of surprised her " Thank you for helping me write my note", he said. Before Olive could give a reply, he added" Why are you helping me write actually?"

Olive"..."

" You are welcome. And, there is no reason. I just want to help a friend"

' Yes, I am just helping a friend and nothing more'

Olive lied to Archie and was also even lying to herself.

" Okay. I will go now", he managed to reply

Olive was more than disappointed.

' I can't hold him down. He doesn't like me'

' I don't want him to go'

*****Sigh*******

' Is she not going to tell me to stay?'

' I want to stay'

" Okay", Olive mustered up all her courage to say that single word but made it sound so plain that a passerby would think that she did not even want Archie around.

Archie left after hearing her one word reply.

'Olive,don't care about how he feels about you, he has a girlfriend who he loves so much'.

With that thought, Olive continued with the note and didn't even notice Archie's presence.

It was only when she turned around that she noticed Archie's body structure.

Without thinking, she asked" I thought you had gone?"

" Why would I go leaving you here. Or, do you want me to go?"

Olive:"….."

" Let me continue the note from where you have stopped. I can write the rest myself now. Thank you"

" Do….Don't worry. I am almost done, just a few lines and I would be through"

" Okay. If you say so"

" Yup"

Olive was immediately done with his note and stood up impulsively.

Only to stand facing Archie's god-like face. Olive was about to remove her face from his when she remembered what she was determined to do.

' It's now or never'

Without thinking, Olive placed her lips softly unto Archie's. She expected the worst of him pushing her away but was surprised as he actually kissed her back.

Archie could feel the guiltiness oozing from Olive's body.

She redrew from the kiss suddenly and Archie did not like it one bit. He pulled her back for a kiss again.

Olive:"...."

Archie finally let go of her.

Olive's face was already red that she could not face Archie. Archie felt satisfied with her reaction knowing that she still likes him regardless of him having a girlfriend.

Olive finally said" This is for when I wanted to kiss you in my house before you left"

" I wanted to kiss you but you were crying like a baby that day so I decided it was best for me not to "

Olive;"..."

" Ummmm….. you…. I am done writing your note"

" Thank you very much"

" No problem about that. Let's go"

' I am not going without kissing you again', and he did just what he thought. He pulled Olive back again for a kiss before they finally left the classroom.
