Lab Vite

THS Shore wasn't a really big ship. It wasn't small by any means too. It's was a Hyde Class Research Carrier that was around 8 KM in Length. Assigned to the 705th Greater Arcorn Viziers of the Arcorn Empire, It was an really expensive and powerful asset. It hosted the most advanced research facilities and equipment that the best of Humanity had to offer. All of the equipment on the Shore was so cutting edge that much of it wasn't even available on the market and was part of the proprietary equipment of the 705th Arcorn Viziers.

Out of all the Research oriented forces of the Arcorn Empire the Viziers were the most powerful and widely respected. Part of it was due to the fact that it was headed by Dr. Kbom, But other reasons were that they were responsible for some of the most cutting edge technology invention of Humanity.

To that end, The Arcorn Viziers spared no expense in focusing on their Research goals. Chief figures like Dr. Kbom and others, Also made sure that the researcher of the Arcorn Viziers never fell short of funding or required equipment. No matter what Research must go on was the approach adapted by this unit. That's how the grew to be a big and powerful unite of the Arcorn Legions.

Being research oriented didn't mean that the Shore didn't have any teeth. Designed from ground up by the best minds of the Viziers, the Shore was built for deep and long term operations for research purposes. It was fully optimized for Research projects that took them deep into unknown space and for longer periods of time. Missions exactly like the one the Shore was currently on.

The Shore had more than a couple of High end labs to facilitate the adequate environment for long term research. Much of it was currently occupied by different research teams that were crunching numbers and other things to figure out more about the unknown super structure around V0.

One of the main labs of the Shore was Lab Vite Or Lab V for short. Lab Vite was one of the 5 main labs of the Shore. All of the Main labs hosted a collection of cutting edge equipments that costs a lot of credits. But funding wasn't a problem for any of the researchers on-board the Shore. So all of the main labs was stacked to the brim with cutting edge research gears that one could do almost anything with it.

Lab Vite was where Dr. Kbom had decided to hole himself up in his research. He was currently busy with researching the potential of Interstellar FTL Warheads that could deliver targeted and precise strike to any enemy planets or location in another Star System! This was so ground breaking that even when on such an important mission, He was busy working on it.

Kita Approached the Heavy blast doors as he prepared to meet his superior and mentor. As one of the few people who had the permission of Dr. Kbom to approach him when he was busy with research, Kita approached the biometric pad before entering the proper credentials. After the security systems allowed him to enter the lab, The huge blast doors opened up.

It was a really huge space inside the Lab. Although there were many different types of lab machines, Much of it wasn't being used currently or even regularly. Most of it was on standby for when the Dr needed them, But they seldom saw use.

In the middle of the room, Dr. Kbom was sitting on the table and looking at the big terminal in front of him, the Terminal showed simulations of the warheads going in and out of the FTL travel. The most hard part was to figure out a way to make the FTL drive so that it could reach the target star system without any problem. Range was still a problem for the small FTL drive that Dr. Kbom managed to fit inside the Warhead. There wasn't just enough room inside the warhead to fit a full sized FTL drive while keeping the size small enough to still keep the warhead elusive for the enemy to intercept.

"C'mere Kita, Take a look at this data, let me know what you think.", Dr. Kbom said without turning his head as he waved a data pad at kita.

Kita took the datapad and begin to study the data for a moment.

"You seemed to have managed to shave some time from the entry time! This is a new record for the FTL entry time! And to implement this on such a small drive! You've done it again doctor!", Kita said astonished as he was awestruck at the results Dr. Kbom had produced.

It was quite important to reduce the time it took for a warhead to transitions into the Hyperspace for FTL travel. As most of the time the warheads would need to be deployed from behind the enemy lines, It'd give the enemy less time to detect the warhead being deployed. And in turn would make the element of surprise that much bigger. What Dr. Kbom had achieved was nothing short of extraordinary. Normal FTL drives were way slower when compared with the ones in these simulations.

"It's still not enough though, It still leaves much spatial waves when it goes into FTL, I need to bring it down more. I also need to find a way to increase the FTL speeds.", Dr. Kbom said in an unsatisfied tone. He wasn't really happy with the results. He wanted more.

"If it's you, I'm sure you'll find a way doctor. If you can't then no one in the field can!", Kita said as he heard Dr. Kbom.

"Enough flattery, What brings you here today?", Dr. Kbom laid down the datapad beside him and then hopped off the table as he asked Kita.

"Have you taken a look at the information I sent a few minutes ago? What do you think about them?", Kita asked Dr. Kbom of his Opinion.
