The Timeline

"Dr. Luna, I want you to analyze the data and report your findings to me. I think there might be something funny going on here. I don't know what it might be. But my Gut tells me there's more to it that what meets to it. There's no way it was a fluke.", Dr. Yriggs instructed Dr. Luna.

Dr. Luna looked at her mentor who seemed to have sensed something among all the events that was happening. Luna didn't stop her. Dr. Yriggs was usually spot on if she found anything suspicious. So Luna decided to hasten up the speed of everything so that he could present that report to her mentor faster.

As she read more and more through the event reports, She found out that Dr. Kita had basically locked himself up in his lab after the death. Where he was faced with a life threatening situation. After which he was successfully rescued. But as soon as he regained conciseness, he had ran back to the Lab and locked himself up again! That was strange. Usually one wouldn't be in such a hurry that they'd risk their own health to such degree.

"Maybe that's what love does to someone.", Dr. Luna murmured as she kept on reading.

After that everything was really straight forward, Dr. Kita came out of his a few days later and went to the med bay. He was under treatment for a while. And at the day the funeral was supposed to be held for everyone including his wife, He had hijacked the war console and fired a single Fritzer towards his target that resulted in the destruction of that planet.

"From the timeline, Dr. Kita should be calculating a way for the attack during the time he locked himself in."

Dr. Luna then pulled up a report on the energy lines and all the findings related to them. Her eyes went wider the more she read about these mysterious existence. The energy levels inside them was off the charts!

"This…. This is revolutionary! This could change the way humanity handles energy!", Dr. Luna stood up from her chair as she couldn't sit down anymore from all the excitement.

Her sudden outburst called a few eyes on her. But she didn't mind all that! These energy lines were the future of Humanities energy transportation and storage. If only they could find out a way to replicate them!

That's when it hit her! It had all been destroyed!

She slumped into her chair as she realized this. But she didn't give up. She began to read upon the reports again.

As she read more and more, She found a small 2 page report on the safety sides of the lines. As she kept reading she was amazed by how remarkably stable it was. Holding such immense amounts of energy but still remaining so safe! Even when destroyed or disconnected, the energy inside didn't explode or anything. It simply dissipated! Which was a huge plus! It was basically a super exotic. The researchers had already collected sample of these exotics. She wished she could get her hands on these samples.

"But wait… If the lines are so stable, then how did they released all their energy during the impact?", The question suddenly poped up in her head.

From the reports, the researchers had successfully collected more than a few samples from the energy lines. They were full of energy the moment they were cut. But as soon as they were cut they simply lost all the energy stored inside them instead of exploding in all their faces.

This indicated that the energy inside them could only exist if the line was connected the whole network. But as soon as disconnected, it would lose all that energy. If that's the case, then simply destroying it shouldn't cause to release all that energy right?

"It makes sense. There's something with the wrong with the way all the energy inside the lines were released simultaneously."

That's when she realized why Dr. Yriggs had asked her to analyze the events and data further. There was definitely something fishy about the whole thing.

How could such a stable exotic explode suddenly?

Of course, it could also be that the explosion of the fritzer was the cause. But she felt that it was highly unlikely. There was something else she was missing.

So decided to pull all the data that had finished processing and all the available data about the variables related to the event.

This was gonna take some time, so she got comfortable and began to analyze all the available information related to the event.

She began to follow the actions of Dr. Kita from the available information's. As she plotted a time line right from the moment of Dr. Helen's death to the destruction of the planet. As she organized everything neatly.

When she was organizing everything, she found something amiss when organizing the missile.

The missile fired was a generic Fritzer, that seemed to have an generic Explosives load. But something was wrong. Why would Dr. Kita go out of his way to the missiles storage to load a payload that could be loaded automatically?

That was an Odd thing to do when on a mission that would turn you into a criminal.

"Why would you go there? It would only increase the chances of you getting caught. You wouldn't do that unless you were changing something inside the missile?"

But what?

That was the question.

The payload would be the most obvious answer. But according to Dr. Kita himself, he had loaded it with an normal explosive payload.

Then Why?

That was a mystery. So Luna decided to leave it for now. She kept on organizing everything. After she was done, She took a step back and looked a the projected timeline of the whole event in front of her.

It all made sense. Nothing seemed to be out of place. Then how did he get the lines to release all the energy stored inside them?

She thought as she put one of her hand on the chin. She still felt like she was missing something.

"Maybe the answer isn't here. I should take a look at the data before making any assumptions." She said as she began analyzing the data from the explosion. And matching it with the other reports to cross analyze everything.
