how it all began

"What's wrong with her?" Ryan the male muttered to the female named Lisa, as he was starting to get concerned at this strange girls attitude.

"Get yourself together soldier! we're on the brink of war." Lisa spoke forcefully shoving Atlanta away from her, standing up she held her plasma rifle in her hands.

"We don't need more of us losing it." She murmured, slowly walking away with caution scanning her surroundings.

"Coast is clear, let's move!" Lisa yelled calling for Ryan and Atlanta.

"Come on kid, we have to go back to base and regroup." Ryan softly said getting up and picking his weapon, stretching his hand out to Atlanta to which she happily accepted.

'They don't remember me.' She could see the look in their eyes, that they didn't know who she was at all.

[This is just a stimulation Atlanta their not real.] Nexus softly spoke making Atlanta's heart sink more.

'Of course, just a stimulation.' Atlanta was so overjoyed and heartbroken at the same time, seeing her parents since a long time that she forgot she was just in a stimulation. Since the fortifier transported her consciousness back 50 years ago, it wasn't ruled out of the equation she won't see her parents. She just never had the idea she would, and this sudden.

"Unless we want our heads to be hung on a pole, I suggest we move now!" Lisa yelled looking into her advanced plasma rifle telescope, as she could see a group of hunters approaching their way.

"Come on." Ryan said jolting Atlanta from her thoughts, pulling her up him Lisa and Atlanta then made their way back towards the resistance base through a different path in the city.

"So those are her parents.." Lira muttered, staring at the young man and woman just a few years older than Atlanta. She could see the resemblance of character in them, as they thought alike and even walked alike.

"Woah.. I never knew they were this hot." Rhoin couldn't help but say out loud, admiring their beauty and physique. He was sad and happy at the same time, seeing Atlanta momentarily meet her parents for the time being.

'So this is elite city.' Zeke inwardly thought looking at the huge holographic screen, he couldn't help but grasp how dire the situation was 50 years back.

"Hmm!" Kaiser just scoffed at everyone's shocked and focused expression, he wasn't fazed at all by Atlanta's touching reunion instead he was more concerned by the background.

Walking by Atlanta could see more corpses wasted on the floor piles of dead bodies of hunters, cyborg, and resistance fighters were piled up on each other. It was a gruesome and horrifying sight to see, all that blood and smell of decomposing flesh and rusted metal hitting their nostrils.

One would have already thrown up a few times if he wasn't strong-willed, as everywhere reacked with a horrible stench.

"So how long have you been married." Atlanta suddenly asked, intending to lighten the mood and soften the situation a bit.

"W-what?" They were both shocked by the sudden question this strange girl asked, as she sounded confident in her words.

"What do you mean? We're not married." Ryan awkwardly said scratching his head a bit.

"But why?"

"W-what do you mean why? We're just resistance fighters, fighting for our freedom from the damn hunters." Lisa angrily spoke, her number one priority was to serve and fulfill her duty to elite city. She didn't care about anything else, nor has any other life plans thought come to her head.

"For now.." she muttered trailing behind her parents.

'I-i never expected to see this side of them.' Looking at her parents she could see they were strong hearted soldiers, trained in combat and ready for battle. When she was born she knew them as scientists not resistance fighters, so this was a whole new and exciting experience for her.

[Am detecting some heat signatures of approximately five hunters up ahead.] Nexus suddenly spoke, warning Atlanta of the imminent danger.

Looking round she saw a rusted sword about 5 inch long laying on the floor, picking it up she didn't hesitate as she ran forward tightly holding the sword.

"What are you-" both Lisa and Ryan were stunned by the sudden reaction from Atlanta, they wanted to stop her but alas she was too fast for them.

'Nexus can you display their feeds.' She asked still running forward. Even though she was now partially becoming something she couldn't comprehend, she still couldn't take any chances. If she were to take out the hunter in front, then what about the remaining 4? she didn't know how they were stationed, or how heavily armed they were.

[I can only display their feeds in heat signature mode for now.]

'It'll have to do.' And the next moment her vision suddenly changed, to that of a blue background with visual feeds of the environment. Metals buildings and all other none living things were displayed in black, while the hunter's feed were displayed in heat signatures.

Observing them she could see they were stationed not far from each other, one in the front while two stayed at both sides while the remaining two were stationed at the back. Now having a visual feed, she was prepared to handle the hunters.

'Am not going to let anything happen to you guys.' Reaching their location there was a damaged car in-between them so the hunters couldn't see her, giving her the element of surprise.

"Argh!" She screamed shoving the rusted sword to the throat of the hunter, there was a look of surprise and doubt on his face as he dropped dead.

The hunters were shocked a bit seeing one of their team suddenly killed by a girl, regaining themselves they blasted off at Atlanta firing multiple shots at her. Dodging she picked up a part of a car door with ease, using it as a shield as she pressed forward through their defenses.

Reaching the female hunter by the left she threw the car door to her, swiftly following it up by landing a power punch fist. The fist was fast packing a punch, making a small bang sound as the fist made a hole in the car door extending outwards, sending the hunter female flying backwards crashing into a pile of rubbish.

Not stopping she grabbed the car door, swinging it fast horizontally and sending it out to the one by the right. Since they were very close about three inch apart, the hunter couldn't dodge as the spinning door cleanly cut his head.

"S-she just eliminated three of our members." Gyra the other female hunter with only one pair of robot arm and legs each shakily said, to the male hunter besides her.

"It doesn't matter, she must die!" Lorenzo the male hunter shouted, dropping his dual ray blasters seeing it wasn't hitting her at all. Equipping himself with an blue energy sword glowing a bit, he shot straight for Atlanta with rage in his eyes.

"Keep on firing!" He shouted back to gyra who just nodded, still firing off at Atlanta.

'He's fast.' Atlanta saw Lorenzo had two robot legs with a strange mechanism, giving him an advantage in the speed department.

'It doesn't matter..' Even though he was faster than her, she still had some skills and tactics she could use to defeat him.

[Eagle eyes skill activated!] Her eyes glowed purple as her vision was advanced more, giving her a better view of Lorenzo's attacks.

'Bam!' Atlanta and Lorenzo clashed sending out series of strikes to each other, Lorenzo had the upper hand since Atlanta was constantly being shot at. He didn't know how she'd managed to keep up and dodge most of their attacks, but he was confident she wouldn't last long.

'Bam!'

Atlanta power punch fists were constantly being sent out to Lorenzo to which he avoided, he was faster than her so she expected nothing less. She was exhausting her energy points but she didn't care, she still had more than enough to finish this pair.

"How is she doing this." Ryan muttered with wide eyes, seeing Atlanta fearlessly take on the hunters. They saw there were no casualties on her, even though she'd managed to kill three hunters unarmed.

'This girl... We're lucky she's on our side.' Lisa silently thought staring at Atlanta with wide eyes.

[Error in locating weak spot!] The system voice rang in her ears. She was looking for a weak spot to focus on, so she could swiftly deal with the problem at hand.

"Argh!" She screamed as she had now been hit by a blast from gyra, stopping her momentum giving Lorenzo a chance to attack. She immediately lifted both her hands up to block the incoming energy sword, Lorenzo had a smug look on his face seeing Atlanta's futile attempts.

'W-what.' Lorenzo was shocked, seeing his energy sword stopped just a few inches into Atlanta's hand. His mind couldn't even process how she'd managed to stop an energy sword, with just her freaking hands!

[Immunity activated!]

[Weak spot located!] Nexus finally said seeing her opportunity, she seized the moment pushing her hands forward with the energy sword still stuck in it. Lorenzo tried to pull the energy sword out from her hands but was unsuccessful, as Atlanta pressed on exerting every bit of her strength.

Ryan and Lisa were about stepping in to help her, but a look from her said she could handle them. Gyra still shot at Atlanta but not more constantly, as she needed to get a clear shot and not to mention she was running out of energy.

"You fucking hunters took everything away from me!" She roared pressing her hands forward, as the energy beam was now just two inches away from Lorenzo's throat.

"What the hell are you talking about? I don't even know you!" Lorenzo shouted as he was halled up against a wall, his life flashing before his eyes.

"It doesn't matter, am going to make you all pay!"

Gaining an extra boost she finally overpowered Lorenzo, shoving the energy sword through his neck severing his head from his body killing him instantly.

"N-no~" Gyra softly said just witnessed Lorenzo killed, a wave of fear washed over her as she looked at Atlanta.

"You bastard.. go to hell!" She yelled firing off at Atlanta, she knew she was going to die but she wanted to take Atlanta a long with her. Dodging Atlanta was now faster than before, dodging gyra's hits as she made her way towards her. Atlanta could see gyra was overwhelmed with different emotions, as even the shots she fired were off course.

'Click! Click!'

'N-no.' The energy in the rifle had now been exhausted by gyra, as she'd run out of ammunition. She was left defenseless on her knees, as she stared at Atlanta about 4 feets from her.

'So this is how it ends.' Tears slipped down her eyes as she waited her death, there was no point in fighting anymore since it would just be in vain. Slapping the rifle out from her hands Atlanta saw a grim expression plastered on gyra's face, raising her hand she was about to strike the finishing blow.

"Please make it quick, it's better to die honourably." Gyra softly said already accepted their fate, granting her request Atlanta's fist descended downwards to the formers face. She looked at her perplexed as her attack pushed forth, she just didn't know why but something was off about this young woman.

"I won't give you an easy death." Atlanta said her fist stopping just inches from gyra's face, she didn't want to kill her just yet as she wanted to get some answers out from her.

Opening her eyes gyra had a surprised look on her face seeing Atlanta didn't kill her, for a moment she wanted to die but now an unexplainable urge to live overwhelmed her.

Backslapping her across the face gyra was knocked out cold by Atlanta, turning round she could see she'd eliminated all the threats.

"Are you ok?" Ryan asked coming down to meet Atlanta, stopping a bit he stared at the hunters corpses and couldn't help but gulp a bit.

"Y-yeah am alright." She smiled softly staring at her parents.

"You're bleeding." Lisa pointed to Atlanta's guts, as there was a small hole there with blood gushing out. There were also some shots that hit Atlanta on her shoulders and her thighs, but surprisingly she didn't feel the pain that much.

"This.. no it's fine." Atlanta softly said stepping forward, she was about taking another step when she felt a stinging sharp pain strike her. Her body immediately became weak, as she fell to the floor unconscious.

"Atlanta!" Ryan and Lisa both exclaimed crouching down and checking up on Atlanta, they could see she was injured but it wasn't that severe.

"She must have passed out from the effects of the adrenaline rush." Ryan said observing her.

"Let's get her back to base." Ryan spoke picking her up and softly placing her on his shoulders, walking forward to the resistance base.

"This girl.. something feels odd about her." Lisa muttered staring at Atlanta's unconscious body, she didn't know why but something was just strange about this girl.

'When will this damn war end.' She thought shaking her head, she then followed behind Ryan keeping her guard up as she tightly held her weapon.

Few minutes after Ryan and Lisa left with Atlanta, the holographic screen still stayed on the location they just left. Moving a bit, the screen stayed on a pole of rubbish that was strangely moving.

"Ahh! ha.. ha.." the first female hunter that Atlanta punched, activating power punch didn't die. She was badly injured, with a hole in her chest where her heart region was but thankfully for her, her heart had been replaced long ago.

"Argh!" She screamed with rage seeing all the members of her team dead, she recalled what happened from when that strange girl attacked them. Then she was sent here from just a fist from that purple haired, making her unconscious as the rest was history.

'It seems we might have a problem.' She thought, picking herself up and walking away.
