I smile at my chemistry teacher before making my way towards the back corner where Brynn and I sit.

Due to our teacher's less than ideal vision it is easier for Brynn and I to communicate with each other back here without being found out.

/"What's with the long face, Cupcake?/" Brynn questions as I sit in the empty lab desk beside her

I ignore the randomly generated nickname that she chose to give me.

A sigh exits my mouth as I slip my backpack off of my shoulder. I place the backpack beside my desk at the same time that my butt touches the hard seat.

/"I've been doing a lot of research about female vampires who have gone after girls and all of the stories ended with the victim dying/" I stress

My best friend turns to face me with an intrigued gaze.

I go to nod my head only to pause as I remember the outcome of one of the stories being different from the others.
