Cleo enters Venundarr, aside from the added number of guards, they still follow the same procedure.
Once he's inside, he check the guard's status. Most of them are humans that ranges between Lv.30-Lv.35.
He finds it weird that most of the guards consist of humans. Even though Venundarr is a neutral territory in terms of races it is still part of Zirracania Alliance.
He approach one of the merchants to confirm his suspicions.
"Good quality ores and minerals up for sale or trade!" shouted by the jolly little dwarf. His looks like a he could be at his 50s but his height is comparable to a 6 years old human.
The jolly little dwarf notice Cleo approaching his shabby stall.
"First the guards, now they're letting in beggars as well!" shouted by the dwarf while giving Cleo a disdainful look.
Cleo turn around to see if there's a beggar behind him however he soon realized that the dwarf was referring at him.
He wanted to punch the dwarf. He took a deep breath and calm himself. He then took out 100 gold coins from his spatial ring and slam it on the shabby stall.
A creaking and wood cracking sound came from the shabby stall, almost breaking it on impact.
The dwarf eye's widened not because of the possibility of his stall collapsing but the amount of gold he's currently staring at.
"M-my apologies young master. I didn't mean to..."
"Its fine. I know what you mean. There's an unusually amount of humans currently residing in Venundarr." says by Cleo with a sympathetic tone.
The dwarf was dumbfounded, he thought that the person in front of him is a human. Since elves didn't usually want to hide their appearance due to their pride, he just assume Cleo was a human base on his built.
He's assumptions were correct but Cleo is still wearing his hood, making the upper part of his face barely visible.
"Ah! Y-yes young master. I'm grateful we share the same sentiment." replied by the shameless dwarf.
"So, why do you think there's a lot of human right now?" asked by Cleo.
The dwarf hesitates to answer his question however the shining temptation in front of him is too hard to resist. The dwarf took a quick glance at his left and right before finally giving in.
"Take this with a grain of salt young master since I'm not 100% certain. I heard that Magus and Duskfall Guild from Lavierre Kingdom have some business at Hallows Guild." carefully whispered by the dwarf.
'So Clyde was telling the truth about Camilla's reinforcement.' says by Cleo inwardly.
"You didn't heard this from here ok? The Hallows Guild refuse to give audience from both of the guild once they knew that Camilla was heavily injured." added by the dwarf.
"Why would they refuse to give audience to the guilds?" muttered by Cleo.
The dwarf raises his eyebrows at Cleo's question. The answer was obvious however he look at the stack of gold once again before answering the question.
"Without Camilla at her best condition, everyone is confident that the Hallows Guild can take down both of the guilds from the Lavierre Kingdom." whispered by the dwarf.
"The Hallows Guild is at the position where they can outright refuse anything since they were not really in a friendly relationship to begin with." he added.
"Then why are they still here if that's the case?" asked by Cleo.
"Someone saw Camilla with a darkened left arm that looks like it'll shatter with a slight touch. The Hallows Guild gave them a week to let her recover since she might not fit to travel." whispered by the dwarf. "Pah! If I were them and If not for her position I'll let that bitch lose her entire arm." he added with a slightly higher sounding voice.
The dwarf notice that he unconsciously raise his voice and immediately cover his mouth while glancing from left to right to check if somebody heard him.
"I better get going." says by Cleo while taking half of his gold.
'This might really our best chance to take down Camilla.' says by Cleo inwardly.
He then proceed to head to the auction house that the Hallows Guild own. He will try to use Anna's previous records from them to get their attention.
Unlike when they first came at the auction house, it was almost empty except for a few Orcs guarding the place.
He the approach one of the towering orc guards stationed at the gate.
"Good day gentlemen." greeted by Cleo while doing a half bow.
This caught the attention of the Orc guards.
"There's no ongoing auction at the moment. State your business." replied by one of the orc.
"I was sent by Lady Anna Arpaiwl to check the future catalogue of the auction house. If you check her previous records you'll know how generous our Lady is."
The orc guards look at each other before one of them went in to fetch a person who have more authority than them.
A few minutes later, a familiar eccentric looking man greeted Cleo.
The two had a conversation revolving around their potential future expenditure while smoothly transitioning into requesting an audience from the Hallows Guild.
The medallion that Clyde gave works like a charm. Cleo was escorted at the back of the auction house where the official house of the Hallows Guild is located.
Once they enter the guild, Cleo felt multiple different gazes coming from their members. He mostly ignores them while taking a glance every now and then.
Most of their members consist of 2nd Jobs that ranges between Lv.45 to Lv.50. Members of Hallows Guild are more diverse compare to Magus and Duskfall Guild.
He now understand why they were confident. If the members are at this level then their leader must be at a higher one.
Cleo braces himself for the most important step of their plan before entering the room.
