Chapter 65 Asura vs Royal Knight

The air gets thinner and thinner inside the cave but Cleo, Leah and Valerie doesn't have a choice but to bear with it.

Meanwhile the two monster that caused this seems to be breathing just fine. With years of experience behind their back, breathing control is an easy task.

"Lineage Strike!"

The huge knight spirit behind Alger made a vertical motion with its great sword. One would think with a huge mass like that, it'll be a slow attack, unfortunately for Camilla that was not the case.

Camilla's Steel Body runs out few hours ago, she won't be able to cast it since it already drained her mana.

Dodging this attack is futile now, she braces herself and convert all her agility to strength in order to defend against Alger attack.

The strike connected, Camilla barely manage to block it using her axe.

"Alger, you bastard! You dare try to act arrogant now old man just because I can't use my full power!" Camilla shouted.

Alger ignores the raging silver haired girl and proceed to barrage her with his Lineage Strike.

From above her head, at the side of her body, at each of her limb, the assault came from different places giving her no room to retaliate.

"Kastor, Pollux, Roger, do you think just because I'm old, I'll be weak just like them?" Alger taunted.

He didn't have any malice in his words or intention to belittle their achievements, he's just merely stating facts.

They all fought during the first great war in the same side and even then Alger was leagues above them in terms of raw talent.

Camilla is trying her best to deflect Alger's attack however its just a matter of time before she slips up.

Cleo, Leah and Valerie were speechless at the fight their watching. Its akin to a hardworking trainee beating up a training dummy.

Cleo gulps and audibly release a sigh of relief, relieved that this monstrous old man took a liking to him. He can't imagine fighting this monster at his current power level.

The beat down goes on for almost an hour before Camilla made a fatal mistake.

A sideway slash manage to slip up Camilla's defense, sending her flying only stopping when she hit a wall.

"Throw: Javelin!"

Alger didn't became complacent but instead instantly launch another attack.

The javelin manage to hit Camilla's right shoulder, pinning her to the wall.

"This is the end of the line for you little girl." Alger said while approaching the pinned silver haired girl.

"Fuck you Alger!" Camilla said. Rage filled her heart and mind. "I'll kill you all!" she added.

"Stop it Camilla, don't embarrass yourself any longer." Alger said with a disappointed tone.

He's hesitant to kill a prodigy, however he knows deep down in his heart, she needs to die here.

Before the confrontation, Clyde exposed all Camilla's dark secret. Slavery, murder, evidence manipulation were some of the crimes Camilla and her troops committed.

Alger winds his arm to prepare Camilla's coup de grace.

"Asura Mode: Nihilism" Camilla muttered in her last ditch effort.

Alger halts his attack midway and jump backwards, his instinct screamed at him to retreat.

The silver haired girl skin turned black and red crack lines appeared across her entire body.

Alger and the trio widened their eyes in horror.

Camilla's lost arm grows out her shoulder.

The silver haired girl release a deafening shriek that made them covered their ears.

Even Alger who was present at the great war doesn't have an idea how strong this skill is and what price the user must pay.

"Get out of here!" Alger shouted at the trio.

"Dragon's Breath!"

A spiritual dragon head appears behind Alger. The dragon inhaled then blow a stream of fire directed at Camilla.

If Alger was a normal human he already passed out by now due to the lack of oxygen present in the cave.

"Alger, accept the party invitation!" Cleo shouted.

This is the only way he can think of on how to contribute in battle without being a hindrance to Alger.

Alger doesn't have any idea on why Cleo suddenly sent a party invitation but he accepted it nevertheless.

His Dragon's Breath skill ended and once the smoke dissipates.

"This is absurd." Alger muttered.

Camilla emerges from the smoke and appears to be unharmed.

She then slash the spear with her hand that was pierced in her body.

"Dragon's Tail!"

This time a spiritual dragon tail appear at Alger's tail bone area. He then proceed to swing his hips to attack Camilla with his spiritual dragon tail.

The attack connects, hitting Camilla's face however she didn't budge an inch.

Alger can't believe what he's seeing with his own two eyes. His two most powerful skill didn't do any damage against Camilla.

Camilla stomp her feet and jump towards Alger.

Alger was not able to react in time and catch a barrage of heavy punches from Camilla.

The role were reverse. The hardworking trainee turned into a training dummy.

'What's with this power.' Alger said inwardly. The punches are too fast for him to block, he can't do anything except to raise both of his arm to cover his face however this will leave his body open.

"Sacred Shield!"

A golden aura engulfs both Valerie and Alger.

Without even lasting a few seconds, Valerie coughs up blood and the connection made by her skill broke.

Cleo rush at her and took out a health potion.

"Water Barrier!" Leah shouted.

A stream of water rush at Alger's direction, making a wall however it was for naught. Camilla easily broke through the barrier.

"Ready your emerald gemstones." Cleo said.

"Wh-what are you saying?" Valerie replied. "We can't just leave him here!" she added.

"I'm not saying we will leave him here." Cleo retorted. "I have a plan, though I'm not sure how effective it'll be." he added

"What do you mean?" Valerie questioned.

"I have a unique skill however it need a certain condition in order for me to use its full power without dying in the process." Cleo said.

He's not entirely sure if this'll work. This is just his theory based on their previous encounter with a Minotaur where he used his skill Crimson Ichor.
