As soon as Cleo and Leah wakes up, they tell what Leah saw in the abandoned cathedral to Valerie and Anna. The two girls are skeptical however they knew Leah for months now and in that short amount of time they knew Leah will not lie about this kind of stuff.
"Is that the reason why you scream all of a sudden?" Valerie asked.
Leah just nods, she just also assumed that was the case since she can't really remember what happened right before and after her vivid nightmare begun and ends.
"What do we do now Cleo? Do you think an undead monster caused this incident?" Valerie asked.
"I don't know as well, if it was a mental attack it doesn't make sense that among us four Leah was the only one that got affected." Cleo said.
Leah has the most stats points in intelligence amongst them, more higher than Anna even, considering she's a Mage.
The party rack their brains to discover what may have cause the attack against Leah. Anna brought out some of the books she received from Hallows Guild about monster and geography. However the book does not contain any information that is even remotely close on what happened back in the abandoned cathedral.
'Lance... Lance... where did I heard that name before?' Valerie pondered. "Lance Artin the Martyr!" she shouted upon remembering where she heard the familiar name before.
Valerie's discovery startles Cleo, Leah and Anna who were also deep in thought trying to figure out what happened.
"Lance Artin?" Anna asked while tilting her head sideways in confusion.
"We study about him during my time in the church. The fact that the undead shares the same name and title might not be just a coincidence. I reckon we can find more information if we research about him." Valerie explained.
Cleo and Leah can't really disagree with Valerie's, they also suspect that was the case. Not because they knew who Lance Artin was, its just that, unlike Valerie and Anna, Cleo and Leah have the ability Reaper Eyes which can see the undead elite monster's name and title.
After a few more minutes of pondering, the party decides to gather more information about Lance Artin and his party.
Since the dwarves was fond of Valerie, she was the one who was tasked to ask them for information, Anna will also accompany her. Meanwhile Cleo and Leah will try and find the nearest library since as of the moment, only a few dwarves doesn't look at their direction with disdain.
The party split and decided to meet up in their camp before the day ends. If not for this specific circumstance where Leah was affected by a mental attack despite her having a high intelligence, Cleo won't even bother investigating further since the cons outweighs the pros if there's even any at the first place.
However since now that they knew that they were susceptible to a mental attack. They need to find a way to increase their resistance if possible or find a way to properly repel the attack.
Cleo and Leah head towards the public carriage that transports adventurers between cities inside Zirracania.
They were greeted by a familiar Orc, the same Orc who gave them a ride from Venundarr.
"Going home already?" The Orc asked.
"Not really, do you happen to know where we can find a public library? If possible not too far from here." Cleo asked.
"Public Library? Hmmm... Let's see." The Orc pondered. "You can try the one in Heccarte albeit its a small one but its the nearest from here. If you want a more bigger library its located in the Capital however it will take us almost three days to reach it from here." he added after thinking for a few minutes.
They don't really have a choice here so Cleo and Leah decides to go to Heccarte for now. They can always go to the Capital after, if they still need to find more information about Lance's party.
Their destination, Heccarte or more known as the City of Secrets. It got its nickname since most of the people who come to that city are people who either buy or sell information about almost anything that they can think of.
There's only one problem for both Cleo and Leah which the Orc carriage driver failed to mention. The City of Secrets hates humans more than anyone.
They can only hope that Alger's medallion works in that city and even when push comes to shove they can defend or run away if the opponent pose a huge threat.
