/"The guy has a lot of guts/"
/"The fuck he did that to me , imma ripe his head off when next I see his fucking face staring with a lot of confidence at me, your boo saved his ugly ass today but next time his gonna regret doing that to me .
/"She laughed wholeheartedly....he's farouq's friend as said, and his handsome you know/" She said raising a brow at me .
/"I'm not boy crazy you know/" I said in a serious tone .
/"I think maybe he just wanted to impress you by paying your bills, not knowing my friend here is a billionaire/" I laughed at her.
/"I don't blame him , you know girls of nowadays all they know and see is cash, they are after material stuffs and all , they can even sell there virginity for money, that's why men always do that to win there heart , after getting what they want they live you for good , while you stay single for the rest of your life, they get to marry fine , beautiful women, while at the last minute you fall sick , you go to the hospital for test and boom , they get to tell you the most sadden story of your life, your a HIV victim.
/"Yeah girl it's true, your an agile ya know/"
/"Well he thinks I'm one of them , he thinks I'm parsimonious/"
/"Hey, your father is a billionaire, he owns companies all around the world, and that makes you a billionaire/"

/"Ahh I love you so much Bebe, you gah so much sense , I couldn't even think of all that /" She said in a serious tone .
/"When all you see and hear is Farouq how will you even think of all this stuffs/" I laughed at how she rolled her eyes and covered her face with her palms. come here I hugged her and followed her to greet Ma.
/"Halima gave a gentle knock on the big wooden door/"
/"After some minutes a beautiful woman in her mid four ties opened the door with a beautiful smile plastered on her face.
/"Bonsoir ma/"(good evening Ma)I said squatting down to greet her.
/"ma fille se lève/"(my daughter stand up)Ma said in her splendiferous voice .
/"viens ma chérie/"(come in my dear )
/"How are you dear ? Ma asked.
/"I'm fine Ma/" how are you too?
/"Fine Mon Cherie/" I can see you can now speak French very well, she said in her British accent.
/"I chucked a little nodding my head/" Ma I have to go it's getting late .
/"Auwwww, so soon/" She said in a said Voice.
/"Okay I'm coming/" She said while standing up , she came back with a takeaway in her hand and she bestowed it to me .

/"C'mon mon Cherie I made some French food and I want you to have a taste of them/"don't ever thank me again your also my daughter okay ?
/"Okay Ma thank you again/" I said while hugging her.
/"She walked me up to the door saying her regards to Mama and my siblings and Halima walked me up to the car , she hugged me and bid me goodbye , two days to go oo , make sure your ready she reminded me.
/"Okay bye/" I said and mallam Audu drove off.
/"How I wish I also have a beautiful family like this, how I wish mum and Abbah could ever be together , how I wish I was this happy, how I wish my family was one to be admired/"a lone tear escaped my eye and until then I realized I was crying. i was so most in my thought I didn't even realized we've reached home, until when I heard mallam Audu clear his throat, I cleaned my tears and opened the door.
/"Sannu mallam Audu/"(Weldone mallam Audu)yauwa sanu Amaani , (weldone too Amaani)he said in his calm deep voice.
/"Aa bashi zan shiga dasu/"(don't worry I will enter with it)i told him collecting the shopping bags.
/"I headed straight to my room, I freshen up and wore my Cocktail Print Pajamas, I sprayed myself with my Paris Hilton can can perfume and headed to mama's side/" I salamed and entered the room , her room is very simple yet elegant, A single light burned, casting light on a chintz couch and an antique Quaker chair , Improvised kitchenette off to one side Walls and ceilings were covered with mirrors, a high-tech bordello. Furnishings looked Rich, black-painted. A worn mustard-yellow bean-bag chair, her bed in the center Of the room, a relic of the seventies. An old tape deck and a towering set of speakers whose cloth was fraying. when I sited her sitting on the yellow bean-bag chair.
/"Assalamualaikum Mama/"
/"Waalaikumusalam/"Amaani come sit here, she pointed a small spot close to her and I went and sit down.
/"How are you/"?ashe kin dawo(ooh so your back).
/"Yes mama not long ago thou, I went to drop Halima off at home that's why I was a little late...Ma said I should send her regards and she gave me some French food insisting I must go with it.
/"Ayyah i will visit her some other time inshallah/"
/"I opened the take aways and the smell of fresh French food hit my nostrils, i Can here the smell of Chocolate soufflé , Flamiche, Confit de canard, Salade Niçoise.
/"Ooh how I missed her cookings/" mama said
/"You know back then in school she always prepare this amazing French food for us , the first time i tasted it, it was like heaven wallahi/" I chuckled a little, while we munched on our food.
/"Hajia zainab is a very kindhearted woman, she's one in a million, she's unencumbered , a very religious and a very splendiferous woman indeed and I'm forever grateful that we turned out to be best of friends, you know back then in the university of British Columbia were we attended, we were one of the best students of our set and we were always together, doing everything together all the time ..... we go to their house and her mother late Sofia Mohamed Mael a very beautiful and strong hearted old woman, she looked up to me like her own daughter and she never in her life separated us for once's including clothes and everything, we stayed in hostel but at times she's rancorous we don't dare argue with her when she says we are staying at home for Week or more .
/"She grew up without a father Cx her father died when she was very young late Mohamed mael, and her mother died two years after our graduation, I could remember how she was smiling on that day Cx we both came out with a first class and we were awarded to be the best students of the year.
/"Within those two years she got engaged to Mr. muhammad Altata a very young , rich business man, I must say every girls dream/" I chuckled lightly.
/"They met when he came for a business conference and he saw her outside west Edmonton Mall/"so he decided to talk to her and zainab being the zainab she didn't give in easily/"mama laughed lightly.
/"Later On he got her number and they excogitate on a date, he went to greet her mother on a Friday night and surprisingly Mrs . sofia's heart felt at peace with him and so she decided to advice her daughter not to let this good hearted man go in vain and so Zainab felt unencumbered with him, they understood each other and got married, I must say he's fortuitous then Mrs. sofia was late a month after, she died of lung cancer, and so they decided on what best to go back to Nigeria and make a beautiful future so their children will not grow and adapt to the white mans tradition , it did be better to raise them in a good Hausa tradition since her husband is half French, half Hausa, so they decided to move to kano and luckily we met again, I got married before zainab and we lost track on each other , we both loosed contacts and all... I settled in Abuja with your father before we moved to kano.
/"Your father first met me in Lagos when he went there for a business contract, it was on a Monday we went to Dominos pizza and he was also there sitted with his friends, we ate laughed and joked with my brothers and siblings before we headed home, on a Saturday morning my uncle called for me to go meet him in his room , I said my greetings and we chat a little before he spoke saying a man came to ask for permission from him saying he wants to come and be seeing me often and he gave him his permission, he looked up at me with a small smile on his face then he patted my head saying /"may Allah forgive Both my parent /" MR. and MRS. Ibrahim Gandi /"and grant them Jannah, I answered with an Ameen, he then turned and gave me a sad smile saying Fatima, my daughter i will never leave you in the hands of a bad person and as a father i know what's good for you, I nodded in response and he added saying get ready he will come later in the evening, I nodded and stood up and left.
/"After a year I got married to your father Mr. Amin Nasir Galadanci and I took good care of you and your sister, Zulaiha but then hajia Mami your grandmother and your mother never appreciates any of that you know better Amaani/" She said looking up to me with a sad smile on her face.
/"Amaani you should get some rest it's getting late/"with that I retired to my room and sleep took
me off but not after praying for mama and saying my azkhar.
