Imperfection

He wasn’t that much bothered about it then for he had just gotten the news that his parents were divorcing and he had left few months after to return when he did. He stared at the girl in front of him wondering why all the little girls he had been kind to as a teenager keeps reappearing to him. He heaved a sigh and looked away from a brief moment, /"it’s good to see you again Nora, how about your mother?/"

/"The sickness took her, she had written a letter to ma’am to please accept me when I turn fourteen for she has nowhere else to send me. I stayed with our neighbor till ma’am came for me and I have been here since then./"

Shane nodded, /"I see, accept my sympathy for that./"

She shook her head with a smile, /"it’s okay, it has been long anyway./"

Shane sighed, /"alright then,/" not knowing anything else to say, he stayed silent.
