Imperfection

Shane had been in shock during the first half of his sentence, why is it that his mom is always a step ahead of him? /"Mr. Lockwood?/" The man called to him and he broke out of his thought.

He smiled to the man, /"it’s alright John, thank you for the information,/" he stood up, /"I will be on my way now./"

/"I’m really sorry Mr. Lockwood./"

/"Don’t be,/" Shane smiled to him. He left the bank then and checked the time, it was closed to closing hours of Lockwood so he decided to give his mother a call since he couldn’t go to the company because everyone believes he was on an unexpected vacation.

He went to the restaurant his mother had agreed to meet him in, he ordered water for himself since he can’t spend unnecessary. He was almost done with the water when she finally arrived. He watched quietly as she approached him and took the chair opposite him, /"you called?/" She asked nonchalantly.
