/" Mumma I am home /" entering the house and closing the door immediately I take off my snow covered shoes and wear my in house slippers . As I walked inside, the delicious smell of Apple pie entered my nose . /" Wow/" I whispered looking at the beautiful Pie resting over the dinner table . /" It looks so cute !/" I smiled taking a spoon in my hands . /" Young lady don't even think about it . A frown pulls on my face with a pout . /" Go and have a wash then come down for dinner /" I groan running up the stairs tripping twice but gaining my balance .

My mother had strict rules in this house , one of them was always having a bath after coming home from a long day at night and then having dinner , She always made me wash my bed sheets after four days , I guess my dad was used to however I on the other hand only thought of it as extra unnecessary work for my body .

/" Come let's eat now /" Mother spoke . Before she could finish I dug in the piece of pie on the plate making my mother angry . /" You have your dinner first !/" She scolded me but My mind was engrossed in tasting the delicious Pie .

I vigorously write over the notebook finishing off my homework and shutting the book close . I fell over the soft mattress of my bed and closed my eyes letting the sleep take over me . It wasn't long after I was woken up by my alarm and I frown . I felt like I only slept for an hour , But to my disappointment it was already morning . Winter nights maybe be long but for me the nights during highschool are always short .

/"Goodbye mumma /" I yell through the living room kissing my father on his cheek , /" Did you wear your socks ?/" Mother asked and yet again when I looked down my feet ,my feet were bare . I chuckled rubbing the back of my head and turning my back to my mother scolding me . I walk out the door slamming it shut getting some snow over my head again . I always forget to get out the way . I hummed walking down the stairs with bread in my hands and searching for Mr. Mochi the squirrel .

/" Come out little buddy /" I whispered and spot him at the base of the tree right beside the fence of our garden . /" There you are /" I smiled kneeling down to it and resting my hand on the ground with the bread and peanut crumbs in it . The squirrel was a baby when it fell down its nest from the tree . I saw it , I saved it however his mother never came to get him . Poor Mr. Mochi . But after a while of taking care of him , he warmed up to me .

I giggle patting his head and letting him go , /"See you later /" I whispered and stood up walking out to the path leading to my highschool . Exams were over , and It was almost time for the vacation to begin , Just a week left . I smile . I might just continue going for the art club .

Simon was struggling with handling his books and papers in his hand , /" Good morning /" I said taking some load off his hands and he smiled . /" Hey Iris , Mind coming to the Lab with me ? gotta submit all these /" I smiled nodding and walking with him . /" So , Are you gonna come to the club even In break ?/" I hummed . /" My parents like to enjoy Christmas home rather than outside , So I will home all vacation time . Better not waste it and just improve my painting /" I nervously laugh .

/" Good , Cause it will be just us and two more people /" I frown . /" No one else ?/" I ask and he nods . /" Its vacation you can't expect more students to be attending this /" , /"Ohh /" Our class begun , It was easy to get distracted by the light sprinkle of snow . Unfortunately today we were left early due to a snow storm coming its way here . So I couldn't stay up and complete my painting . Might as well complete it home .

As we walked out the doors of our high school Simon unlocked his car . /" Should I drop you ?/" He asked and I shook my head for a no . /"I love walking , The storm is not here yet either /" And he drove the other way . It would just be rude to ask him to drive me home . /" Okay then bye /" I waved a goodbye and started walking towards my home .

It was quite when I entered the house , The lights were off and I figured mother and father might still be at work . I decided to call them . Turned out they were out the city . /" Sweety we might come home late , lock the windows and doors alright . We might make it late due to the storm /" I replied with an okay cooked myself some instant noodles . Eating noodles and watching beauty and the beast was my comfort bubble .

My mind wander to that stranger . My father always told me never to talk to creepy looking strangers but this one didn't look creepy at all . In fact he looked handsome . But he didn't really speak much . Maybe he had a bad day ? Of course he had a bad day , His hand was bleeding . I wander if it’s okay now . I blush at the thought of when I handed him my bandage , I felt like my hand was having ants all over it .

I giggle slurping on my noodles .

While she sat in her home cooped up in a warm blanket and eating her late night meal, Eric stood on the cold frozen ground with his knuckles bloody , /" Let go of me /" The man struggled to untie his ropes . /" Not now , not ever . It was you wasn't it ? /" , /" I don't know what y-/" His cry echoed through the dark ally . /" You took the bait , You took the money and ran away /" Theo spoke slamming his fist into the man's gut .

/" Let's end it right here /" Eric stated aiming the gun at his head . /" Wait ! wait , It’s in my house . In the kitchen . I have hidden it there /" The man cried speaking . /" We don't want the money anymore ./" Theo rolled his eyes as the man begged for mercy .

The man found with six bullet shots on his face and chest the next day by police . His fingers cut with his tongue lying beside his bloody face .
