Being Alive

/"Kylie?! Wake up!/" I heard someone screaming at me.

And then I felt soft hits on my face. I started opening my eyes slowly and that was when I saw James.

/"James?/" I whispered, breaking my voice.

/"Yes, I’m here! Don’t be scared! I will find a place with fireplace, so you could get warmed up./"

I nodded and he lifted me up, carrying me.

/"Thank you,/" I whispered weakly.

/"Look! Here is a house. Let’s ask the owner to let us stay a little bit,/" he suggested and I nodded.

I didn’t have much strength to speak. He approached the house and started knocking on the doors. Nobody was opening.
