Jonathan didn't see it, but I did. My pack stood stronger than it had ever been with the outside help, but we were also at our most vulnerable. Our land was left open, and Asher knew that. He had already made it known that he was working with other packs, trying to recruit, and slipping the right ones that kind of information would have been some nice little brownie points for him. Not to mention he knew pack secrets.
He could exchange some of those for safety among other packs.
But that wasn't what bothered me. It was that, according to Joseph Powel, and a few others, he had claimed that 'The Tenebris' was coming for Lumen and Ember. That he had used it as a fear tactic to try and get members of the pack to desert.
