Ours

Waking up earlier than usual, I couldn’t sleep I was so excited for the day to begin. I skip to the kitchen to start breakfast. It's baby Nala's first breakfast with us and I want it to be special.

I decided to make pancakes, with chocolate chips. You can't go wrong with that and I’m sure she’ll love it, everyone loves pancakes. I decided to take advantage of being up so early, so I decided to put a batch of my famous cookies in the oven. I'm not above bribery to win the little heart, and little sugar won't hurt.

By the time I got everything ready and on the table and making sure it's perfect for the little girl, the first impression is everything. I turn around to see a scene so cute it made my heart melt.

Still rubbing her eyes sleepily with one hand and holding her teddy with the other, her hair is all messed up from sleep, there stands our baby Nala.
