Dragons are born in twins set, one dominant while the other is submissive. 
One can't survive without the other, the dominants are sent to military schools, they'll spend most of their life-controlling their Dragon side.
While the other half goes to Dragon Academy, they'll learn how to cope with being submissive, they are categorized into littles, pets, or simply submissive. 
The older dominant would meet them there, teach them how to shift, protect them from all dangers, and finally claim them as theirs forever. 
Kaiden is a special case, a little who never regressed before, she also never cried, until crossing roads with Adrian, a fiery red dragon.

<p>I think I'm being adopted by mama Masha, I now stay in her room, she had to pay Anastasia and promise to help her, she even sent a request to my parents and Mr. Laden to get me to move in with her. River got his right to sleep in her room once he shifted, he likes to show me tricks, he can blow air and make the balloon stay up toward the ceiling. </p>

But since Masha had me too, she couldn't take him out to fly as often as he wants to, she said it's not my fault, that even if I did shift, she won't be taking us out as long as often as River wants to, which happens to be around all the time.</p>
