#Chapter3

Levi's POV

/"If I ever see him, I'm going to kill him!/" I snarled.

I was pacing back and forth in the room Luna Mila has set up for Lila. Elias and I are waiting for her. She's going to say she needs to be alone, but I know her... No matter what she says, she doesn't like being alone. She doesn't want to seem like a burden.

/"Baby, how's your magic coming along?/" I whipped my head around and lifted my brow at him.

He furrowed his brows at me, /"It depends on what you want?/" He shrugged.

I groaned, pushing my hand through my hair. /"Anything is good at this point,/" I snorted.

I hate that Lila is hurting... I can sense it through our bond. She never shuts her bond down no matter what, and I'm grateful because then I know if something is wrong even when she says she's fine.

/"If he wants to act like a little fucking-/" I smirked at him, and a wicked grin smeared across my face.

He bounced off the bed with a smirk on his face. He rushed over to me and paused in front of me. /"Tell me... We can fuck with his head for fucking with our Lila./" He snickered.

I gazed at him in awe. I love how close he is to Lila. We all grew up together, she's four years older, but it doesn't seem like it when we're all together.

/"Could you turn him into a bat?/" I guffawed.

His eyes sparkled with mischievousness, and I flung my head back laughing. /"I mean, I could try, but I can't promise what would happen to him./" He exulted, rubbing his hands together.

/"As long as he turns into something./" I cackled.

/"Who?/" Lila asked as she stood in the doorway. I slowly turned to Lila and smirked at her. /"And what are both doing here?/" She lifted her brow as she came further into the room and shut the door.

/"We want to make sure you're ok... And we're staying with you./" I bubbled.

She groaned, but I could see the slight curl of her lips. She was relieved; I could feel it. She would never ask for someone to stay with her... She likes to be independent.

/"We were deciding what I can do to your mate,/" Elias commented.

Her head snapped to us, and she raised her brows. /"Do I even want to know?/" She giggled.

/"I want to kill him,/" I declared, crossing my arms over my chest.

/"Levi... He's a vampire./" She hummed. /"You would have to catch him first, and, believe me, he's fast./" She rolled her eyes.

I chortled and shook my head. /"Eh, that's easy... Elias, here, can turn him into a snail and then I could squash him like the little insect he is./" I quipped.1

She sucked in her bottom lip. She was trying not to laugh. Elias was sagging against the wall, laughing soundlessly as he heaved for breath. She released her lip, and we all fell about laughing.+

Once I'd calmed down, I planted my hands on her shoulder. /"No, seriously though, are you ok?/" I doubted, searching her eyes.

She was miserable; that much was evident.

She nodded her head and smiled, but it didn't touch her eyes. I circled my hands around her and crushed her against me.

I forget sometimes; I'm her little brother. I want to protect her and keep her from ever getting hurt. I feel like I'm about to explode... I want to go and find that vampire and pummel him until he changes his stupid mind and comes and claims Lila as his beloved. She deserves the world, and he's the only one that could give her the same ′sickly love′ that I have.

/"Did you talk to him?/" I uttered.

/"No... We growled at each other./" She countered.

I giggled and clapped a hand over my mouth. /"Sorry, I shouldn't laugh,/" I croaked.

She drew away and grinned at me. /"No... It's ok./" She giggled.

/"Maybe he's confused. If he didn't know about the prophecy, then he has to be confused as to why his beloved is a wolf./" I sighed.

/"A hot ass wolf./" Elias whistled.

We both chuckled. She winked at Elias before glancing back at me.

/"Give him a chance... He might surprise you, L./" I insisted.

/"He must have known about the prophecy... He didn't look shocked that I was his beloved./" She admitted, glancing at the floor.

That fueled my rage even more. If he knew then, why the fuck would he leave? Why wouldn't he stay and talk to her? I don't know how their bonds work, but surely he'll be feeling the absence of his beloved...

Why isn't he busting the door down looking for her?

My body was shaking, and a constant, deep growl was sounding from my chest. I felt Elias wrap his arms around my back and leaned his head on my back. I breathed in before exhaling slowly.

/"Cold-blooded sucker,/" I growled.

Elias and Lila giggled. Now, we needed to get our minds off this. We couldn't stay cooped up in the room, it wouldn't do Lila good, and I don't think I can keep my anger in check if I let my mind go into overdrive.

/"I have an idea.../" I grinned.

/"Is it going to get us in trouble?/" Lila raised her brow.

I chuckled and winked at them. I hurried to the door and swung it open. Damon was standing at the door with his hand raised. He was about to knock on the door.

/"Mom said you were staying here... I just wanted to make sure you were ok./" He murmured, staring at Lila.

/"Aw, thanks, dude... Didn't know you cared./" I grinned.

He rolled his eyes but smirked at me. His eyes darted to Lila, and he took a deep breath. /"Listen... I know I can be a bit full-on and irritating,/" He chuckled. /"But I'm sorry for what happened... I heard our moms talking about it. If he knows what's good for him, he'll come back,/" He stated as he rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly.

/"Invite him to join us... He's been sincere. I don't think he'll be his annoying normal self./" I linked Lila.

Lila stepped next to me and smiled at him. /"Levi has planned something... It may be dangerous, and we could probably piss someone off... You wanna join?/" I smirked.

His face lit up, and he grinned. /"Can my friends come too?/" He asked. I glanced at Lila, and she nodded.

We all made our way outside. Damon linked his friends to meet us at the packhouse. This is exactly what she needs... A fun time with friends.

/"So... What are we doing?/" Lila questioned.

We met up with five of Damon's friends... Emma is one of them. I groaned, and Elias chuckled to himself.

I opened a link between Lila and Elias... /"Ignore her... Pretend she's not here./" I scoffed.

/"I do that most of the time,/" Lila quipped.

I snickered and looked at everyone. /"We need a lake.../" I drawled as I glanced between the wolves from this pack. Elias furrowed his brows at me; I smirked and winked at him.

/"There's one in the heart of the pack,/" James replied, gesturing behind him.

/"That's perfect.../" I grinned.

/"If we were going swimming... You should have said; I would have brought my bathing suit./" Emma grunted.

I rolled my eyes and shook my head. /"No, no swimming./" I chuckled.

Elias's head twisted towards me, and he beamed at me. /"Are you planning what I think you are.../" He smirked.

/"You're the main key player,/" I chirped.

We followed everyone to the centre of the pack. Lila was eyeing me suspiciously, and I couldn't believe she hadn't worked it out yet. Lilith, Elias's mum, did this once for us... My dad went crazy; it took forever for it to thaw out. At least back at our pack, it was on a lake in the forest... This is going to happen on a lake in the middle of the pack.

We arrived at the lake; everyone turned to me. I couldn't take the huge grin off my face. /"Babe, if you will.../" I bowed playfully at him. He smirked at me and nodded. /"Oh Goddess, I know what you are doing!/" Lila bubbled.

I chuckled and nodded. The vivacious smile on Lila's face right now is going to be worth the potential telling off we were going to get.

Elias stood by the lake and hovered his hands above the water. He started chanting to himself. I went over, stood far enough from him but enough so I could see him. I love watching him do magic; it's such a turn on seeing the power radiate from him.

His eyes gleamed yellow, and gradually the water began to solidify until it was fully iced over.

/"My dad is going to go mad... It's summer, and you've just frozen the lake we all use to cool down./" Damon gasped.

/"It's ice... It'll cool you down./" Lila gurgled as she laughed.

I sped over to Elias and planted my lips over his. /"You know what watching you do magic does to me,/" I moaned as I pushed my hands into his back pockets and tugged him against me.

He chuckled against my lips before pulling away. /"Come on... Let's go skate./" He smirked.

He grabbed my hand and led me onto the ice. Lila was already sliding around, a dazzling smile on her face. This is how I always want her to be... Happy.
