Not moving an inch from my assigned bed, I had spent the last couple of days still cooped up beneath the blanket not willing to even go for a shower but today, I decided I needed to get over myself. I needed to hold my head up high again and keep on moving. Rose was dead, although I had a family back home who probably were wondering if I was still alive by now, I tried to not think about them. I never was close to my family and we didn’t have a good relationship so I tried not to miss them, not to think about them, I tried to think about me right now and here and right now, I couldn’t keep avoiding the world around me, I had watched my friend get shot right before my very eyes, then proceeded to get hold hostage and now I was raped but the world kept on moving, the run still rose and the moon still came out of hiding every night. No one was waiting around for me to catch my breath and neither was I. Not anymore.
