Staring at the wall, I ignored Emmi’s presence as he walked into the room, I didn’t have the energy to turn my head let alone respond to him as he asked me if I needed anything. What I did need was for them to let me go but they weren’t going to give me that so there was no point answering him while I lay there in silence, reliving every assault on my body in the last 24 hours.

/"What I’m about to tell you won’t make you feel better but it might make you understand why Xenon is the way he is and why has done the things he has done./"

He said calmly as he sat on the floor across from me, resting his back on the wall behind him, he sighed as he began to explain-

/"Xenon was raped as a child./"

And although I was hearing him, his words weren’t registering in my head, was I suppose to feel bad for the guy? Was this a way to justify his actions? Even if I wanted to feel anything I couldn’t, I was just numb.
