Just as I pulled the trigger and expected the worst, I saw something even further from that… a still standing Xenon as he pulled off his helmet and ski mask, there was an awfully deranged smile on his face that crippled me to the bone.

The gun wasn’t loaded.

/"Did you really think we’d leave a bag full of loaded guns in a car with a hostage that so desperately wants to get away from us?/"

That awful smile was still lingering on his face as I stood there speechless and ready for hell to come and take me over.

/"We left the guns there to see if you’d try something like this, so we could be ready for it next time./"

He tilted his head to the side, his dark eyes devouring me whole as he stared me down.

/"Although there won’t be a next time./"

Lifting his head up slightly, he looked down on me and I could’ve sworn I saw the devil in his eyes as he said;

/"You failed your test princess./"
