Swimming in the lake by the waterfall, I let my body stay afloat above the water as I closed my eyes. I thought back to my life before all of the crazy I was drowning in now, did I have a family? Did I have a pet? Where did I live? Why couldn't I remember a thing?

I questioned the Devil stood by the lake, his gaze hell bent on making me feeling uncomfortable.

/"Do you think I keep track of all the humans on Earth?/"

He responded bluntly as though I had just asked a stupid question. Rolling my eyes, I returned his gaze as I swam to the edge of the lake, where the Devil was standing.

My question brought a small hint of a smile to his lips as he cocked his head to the side, keeping the green in his orbs piercing through my skin.
