#Chapter6

Marcus’ Point of View

/"Is she alright?/" I asked while pacing back and forth. After I put her on my bed, I walked out of the room. We were outside of the packhouse, and Arnold stood with his arms crossed.

/"Yes, Alpha. My mate already put something to her bruises,/" he replied. I let out a sigh and ruffled my hair. I couldn’t control myself earlier. I looked at Arnold and saw him smiling like an idiot. My brow creased.

/"Why did you that? You could have talked to her gently,/" Arnold said and sat beside me. I don’t know why I did that. My anger got the best of me and seeing her earlier with her terrified face, and I lost it.

/"I don’t know,/" I replied.

/"Why are you smiling? You look like an idiot,/" I told him. He looked at me, but his smile never left his lips.

/"Just ignore me, Alpha. I'm just thinking about my mate,/" he said. I intently looked at him and nodded my head.
