Chapter19

#Chapter19

Anya's Point of View

/"Come on. We need to leave,/" Marcus sternly said. He's in a foul mood because our pack has been attacked by rouges, again, without our presence. One pack member is in critical condition right now. Damn rouges!

I hurried to follow him as not to increase his bad mood. His breathing was rigid, and his body was stiff. I put my hand on his arm to calm him down. His eyes flickered, from black back to its original color. I know he's on the edge of shifting, but he's trying to calm his wolf down. I snuggled close to him as he inhales my scent. We stayed in that position for about two minutes, then we decided to leave.

After ten to fifteen minutes, we arrived at the packhouse. Marcus hurried out of the car to go to his office, and I went straight to the pack clinic.

/"How is he?/" I asked our pack doctor. He smiled at me first and looked at the man with the bandage on his body, who was fast asleep.
