Friends

"What, are you crazy ?"

"No, but I thought about what you said, Mark might come here to attack you so let me stay over just to make sure you're safe ". He explained.

She sighed, "You're getting on my nerves now, at first I ignored it cause you helped me but now am getting angry "

"It's for your good," he said.

"Do you think I would allow a total stranger I only met twice to share my place with .....NO! so please go away " she said closing the door.

He kept knocking and she kept ignoring him until it stopped. After eating something she moved to bed laying down.

She could feel her headache slowly go away, she closed her eyes and tried to sleep.

"Is he still there? maybe he finally gave up and left "she kept thinking.

She felt his ring on her finger and the image of that night appeared. His smile as he proposed to her. She chuckled, "where the hell did he get that ring "

Finally, she gave up and walked to her door, she opened it to see him leaning against the wall next to it.

"You still here !?"

"Mmm, decided to keep watch from here," he said.

She moved back opening the door, "you can come in " she said.

He stood up looking down at her, "I can stay here if you find it uncomfortable " he said.

"It's okay, I can't sleep knowing your out here " she let out.

"Then I will go to my car, go back inside and rest," he said.

She glared, "Are you coming in or not "

He smiled finally walking in.

She closed the door and lead him to the living room.

"When I said that I was just joking, I didn't think you would take it seriously "

"After what he did to you, he is capable of anything," he said.

"I know but coming here would be too much that's why he attacked me at the club," she said.

He sat down and she offered him some coffee.

"It's good your friends helped or he would have done something much worse " his face turned cold

She smiled, "I know I said it already but thank you "

A smile appeared on his face, "Welcome ".

"I don't know when I can go get it off but I will try to return it soon " she pointed at the ring.

"Don't rush am not going anywhere"

"Now that I have a chance let me ask where did you get the ring, was it just there laying in your pocket ?" she asked.

"I had just bought it for someone ....he seemed to be getting sad .." who I thought was special but turned out different," he said.

"Oh, then I should hurry and get it off, maybe you can deliver it to the person after you sort it out," she said.

He shook his head, "I don't think so am actually glad it was you who got it, you deserve it more than anyone "

She took a sip of her coffee, "But am not that special someone and we don't even know each other "

He chuckled, "We know each other's names and our parents gave us their blessings. You have been to my place and now am at yours ..so I don't think we are stranger anymore "

She giggled, "We'll your right about that but I still don't know much about you but only your name and that you are rich according to your home and car "

"We still have time to find out since we are friends now "

She laughed, "I never said I was your friend ".

"So we are back to fiancee ?"

"No, friends is good," she said with a smile.

He chuckled.

After their coffee, she pointed to the guestroom and then walked to hers.

"Good night, Friend," she said.

"Good night Tati " he answered.
