It was a warm night as they enjoyed their dinner, the garden was filled with little lights and candles on their table.
She sipped her wine, "you should not drink, you're still on medication" she told him.
"But am better now," he said
"One glass is enough for you then," she said pulling the bottle away from him. He smiled and gave up.
"Okay," he watched her fill her glass again. "Let's go dance," he said
"What?"
"There, people are dancing" he pointed at the group of guests enjoying their evening at the outside bar.
She laughed, "No, I don't want to dance"
"Why, you said you would do everything I asked"
"When did I say that? "she smirked.
"When you agreed to go on this date with me, it's doesn't involve only dinner but other three things"
"And they are?" she asked.
"Dinner under the moonlight, a dance and a..." he stopped.
"What?"
"I will let you know after I have a dance with you," he said giving her his hand.
She gazed at him smiling. "Okay, but just one dance"
They walked to the dancing group and he moved his arms to her back, letting his fingers touch her bare back. She smiled the moment they got close as her hands rested on his shoulders, and they started to move.
He was gazing at her softly with a smile on his face, "What" she giggled looking away
"You still as beautiful as the time we met," he said.
She laughed, "and how exactly did I look like?"
"You were dressed in a yellow short dress.."his hand moved to her short hair passing his fingers through it," and your long hair was down playing in the wind and holding sunflowers," he said
She frowned, "That was not what I was wearing that night and I never had flowers"
"That was the second time," he said still moving to the music.
"Ahh, but I don't remember meeting you before that"
"It was at the time when I was just starting the country project and wanted to see the land where your ranch was," he said
"Ohh"
"I drove there alone but my car got a flat tyre and I didn't know where was. I called Bob to come to pick me up and as I waited your pickup truck drove past me but you parked after seeing me" he said.
"That seems to be a long time ago," she said
"You came out and were stunned, you looked so beautiful and lively that I found myself grinning like a fool," he said.
"You were the grinning fool by the road," she said remembering.
"So that was what you named" he chuckled.
"Yeah, you kept grinning even after I asked if you needed help," she said.
"Then when I nodded your driver helped me change it, and you stood there with the sunflowers in your hand gazing at him".
She blinked remembering the day.
"You smiled at me when everything was done and then got back to your car and you were gone"
"I didn't know, I guess I was occupied that I didn't mind how looked," she said.
"I drove through the whole town the next day but never saw you again. So I bought a field and filled it with sunflowers and even bought a ring" he laughed.
"Is it the same field you took me to?" she asked
"Yes and I was glad you love it"
"And the ring why did you buy it?" she asked.
He smiled embarrassingly, "I thought that the next time I saw you I would ask you to marry me"
"What, you're crazy. You saw me once but wanted to marry me immediately" she laughed.
"Mmm, you might say I was crazy in love with you. And the lord was on my side and I met you that night when I was stalking your mother"
"So you mean to say you always carried the ring in your pocket, that was why you had it that night," she asked.
The music finally stopped and they walked back to their table. She sat down and he pulled off his jacket putting it on her.
"Thank you, "she said. He took his seat.
