25. nor do I want to be a cut sleeve

Wang Yi got distracted enough at the fact that Xiao Xiao was alive and wasn't eaten by the snake, that he forget  the reason he rushed here was to get them both out of this inn lest they get burned.

So now seeing her face,  it took longer for Wang Yi to notice that Xiao Xiao had puffed crimpson eyes, reminding him of frightened rabbits that were being bullied.

"Teacher...why are your eyes red? Were you crying this whole time?"

"Oh, this? Well,"

She forced a fake reassuring smile, giving a look towards the lion, recalling how few minutes ago she was bawling her eyes out at him of the tragic loss she faced in the past.

Following her eyes, Wang Yi also looked at the child, anger rising from what he bottled up from his earlier encounter with the corrupted snake.

"Ah, it's nothing, I was just..."

Without listening to her any longer, Wang Yi immediately inquires,

"You! It's you, isn't it? You filthy corrupted demon, what do you have to do with my teacher!?? Why!! Why are you even with her!?? WHO SENT YOU TO HURT HER!???"

Running up to him, his predatory instics kicks in with his pointy serrated teeth on display, ready to strike at any second.

"Pssh, fancy hearing these words from a corrupted demon himself. She likes me, can't you see? Otherwise she wouldn't be so ready to take me as her disciple! What, you're a petty husband that you're even jealous of a a child?"

Disciple!?? What!?? Teacher  even dared to bring him into our school!?? Just what's so special about him!!!

Getting mad at the childish demeanour that man had, Wang Yi suddenly grabs at his collar in a harsh way to hurt him.

"Wang Yi, what are you doing!?"

Came the female voice he finds annoying but oh so loved it.

"You think I don't know who you really are? You're freaking cursed, aren't ya?! I don't know and whatever you told my teacher for her to lay her hands on you but stop deceiving her or I'll kill you!!"

The lion's eyes flew open,

What!? How does he know that!??? No way, don't tell me he's working with lady Yu...otherwise how would he know this!? Forget it, let's act like I'm not aware lest I'd be exposed in front of my enemy I tried hard to catch!

"Wow, chill, fish man. I don't know what you're talking about there, but..."

He places his hand on top of the marine,

" I'm the fierce cat here, and you- you're acting even way worse than a dog!"

"Ohhh, so you're lying now, huh? Look, even the way you talk is no way near to a child!!! Can't even act right, huh!?? Well I'll show you!!!"

Just when the teenager's eyes turns red, gripping on his collar tighter, about to instictly attack with his dagger even though he was weak, Xiao Xiao was quick enough to appear before him.

She stops him, holding by his arm with a painful grip, forcing the teenager to let go of the child.

"Wang Yi, let the boy  go already! Just what are you up to!??"

She shouts, but then her huge rabbit ears perk up in alert, hearing the sound of buildings being ruined, sensing upcoming danger that this place will fall down.

"

Teacher, you don't understand!! Look, don't you see!?? He's clearly not a-"

Not even being able to finish his sentence, Wang Yi feels himself being wrapped in a tight hold by his teacher's arms. Soon his weight was pushed up, not feeling the ground anymore.  Xiao Xiao makes a high yet strong jump in order to get them both out of the building that soon broke intro shreds with flame spreading across.

Meanwhile, the two didn't even notice that the cat has long escaped before them, without caring about anyone else with how well his future predictions were.

"!??"

They land on the ground, both teacher and student, with the rabbit female on top of the merman. But soon sensing a near explosion, Xiao Xiao instinctively leans down to shield her student as well as cool him, knowing full well how badly the fire would have have affected him.

Wang Yi had his eyes open wide, stunned for a second as he feels her body crash onto him  from top, in a manner of protection.

He feels his insides curl up painfully in mixed emotions despite he was slowly healing,

"Mom, don't give me high hopes. Must be, you're protecting me because I'm your student, aren't you..."

He was that distracted that the burning scales, thirst and the venomous poison inside his body didn't play a role in his current state.

It didn't last long for the building to blow up completely with broken glass covered in fire flying around here and there, but before it could hurt anyone Xiao Xiao  creates a small barrier.

She gets up from shielding the teenager, looking back at the now fallen ruin, previously the marvelous inn now nothing but looking like it was almost terrifyingly hunted,

"It was an illusion, just as I thought. Everything inside must have been an illusion as well to make the inn at least look lively  too..."

She turns to look at the breathing hard teen, who was still on the floor, asking,

"Are you alright? You didn't get hurt, did you-"

But then seeing how pale the boy looked, lips turning greyish purple signalling like he was almost at his last breath, Xiao Xiao gasps,

"Y-you...Wang Yi, Are you thirsty? Is it because of the fire? It must be!

H-here, come here, I'll give you water..."

Wang Yi couldn't even respond, feeling his body turn heavy that he wasn't even able to move and as if he lost all colors on his face, he only opens his mouth a little bit, eyes drifting away.

Xiao Xiao sits back on the ground, hurriedly placing her sickly looking student's head on top of her thighs for him to  lay on as she slowly starts to produce water through her index finger. She directs the water onto his mouth, in  a way like he was sucking her finger.

It entered his body, and yet when she thought it was enough for him, Xiao Xiao didn't see any signs of him looking better nor waking up, causing her to worry.

Giving a shook to his soulder and holding his cold cheek,  she inquires out of fear,

"Hey! Wang Yi! Wake up, wake up!! Just what exactly happened to you!???"

The impatient rabbit female then took his wrist, lifting up the cloth to feel his pulse, only for her heart to stop for as second,

"Y-you...how did you get deadly poisoned!??? Wang Yi! Crap, we have to get you out of here!!! Hurry, hurry!"

Meanwhile, now out of the cave...

"General..."

"Huh?"

"Uh, could...General forget any of this that happened between us? I don't want to build a relationship with a man nor become a cut sleeve. General could do that for me, could you? "

"..."

  The mighty General Xie Hun, who was currently being carried in a piggyback ride by this disciple Yufeng, while also being on his teenager form, found himself having his jaw dropped in dumbfoundness.

Is this brat serious..?

Why's he acting like it's the end of the world just because he accidentally mistook me for the wrong person and even dared  to smash his stupid snake mouth onto mine!!!

And he even dare to say this right on my face!?? Have I lost face in his eyes for him to assume that I would have fallen in love with him over a stupid kiss!?? What exactly does he take me for!!

The werewolf argued to himself, getting grumpy.

But with a clenched jaw, all he could utter out were,

"... it's not like as if anyone wants to be in a relationship with a kid like you either. Besides you're not my type."

Yufeng released a huge sigh of relief, "That's good."

But then he wondered inside,

"Now that I think about it so far I know he hasn't been a relationship with anyone, except for him and Xiao Xiao being strangely very close... Could they actually like each other just like what the rumours say? No, let's just play with him for a bit."

"But general got me curious if it's not a secret, could I ask what is general's ideal type?"

At the sudden question Xie Hun got silent for a bit,

"..."

"What a weird question. I must have been missing out what's currently on trend amongst the young generation."

"Will general tell me?"

The older began thinking,

"That's-, Well...I don't think I've ever had an ideal type..."

Nor have I ever been in a relationship, let alone a succesful one.

But there was one...

10 years ago...

The teen werewolf started to recall a man from his past, breath hitching up as he reminisces the time they spent together, how the older would use to genuinely smile at him. There was a blurry sight of his figure, but not being able to  remember how exactly he used to look like.

That man was almost a decade older than him, that's what he knows very well.  However he was once so close to him yet so far at the same time...

Xie Hun shakes his head, trying to get rid of the painful memory before it could come crawling back.

Anyway, let's just say,

"But I suppose... I'd like it if they were mature, serious and sweet. It would be nice if they weren't too skinny. I just like strong and healthy people. "

No waaay, that, isn't that- could he be describing teacher Xiao!? No matter how much I think about it teacher is definitely older than him, isn't she?  And she's no doubt one of the rarest strongest jade rabbit out there so she's not very skinny at all!

Yufeng found himself getting disappointed at the fact that he have zero chance being with his teacher Xiao, but he tries not to show it too much.

Suddenly, the werewolf brought out,

"Forget about me, would you mind explaining what kind of unspeakable desire you have there for you teacher Xiao, young mister?"

"D-d-desire!??? No, I wasn't, it's not-"

"Oh, please, even if it wasn't her then could you explain why would you even see her in your illusion in the first place yet let alone dare to kiss her!?? Just what kind of absurd feelings you can have for your very own teacher!!"

It's over, it's over!! I'm doomed!! I should have known- I shouldn't have done this!

"I-I...General, you, you please don't tell her!!! Please, General can't let anyone know about this!!"

"Oh, I'll tell her, alright! Harboring these feelings...don't you see how utterly shameful this is!? You can get punished, or worse, banned from our school! And on top of that you even kissed me and poisoned me- do you have any idea what immoral crimes you've done!?"

Seeing how the werewolf was angry at what he's done unintentionally, Yufeng felt wronged even though he knows how serious all of this really supposed to be. But nevertheless he sucks in a breath to ask in order to lighten the mood,

"Are you saying this because...you and Teacher Xiao are...uh,"

"She and me what?"

"...don't you understand me?"

"Understand what?"
