[Third person POV]
"Um... no, I am actually here to see Mr. Beckett." Kaleah says unconfidently.
The two women laughs at her before one saying, "please go back home we are not a fanservice company."
"Do you have an appointment?" the man asks.
"Well, no, but the receptionist said gave us permission to visit." Kaleah explains, "Cyan said I should come here."
With that two of the women there had laughed at her before saying, "please come up with another act, that one is overused."
"But I am not lying, I am…a family friend." She says innocently, the three are resistant but one of the secretaries says.
"Okay Miss, what is please write your name and surname here and I will take you to Mr. Beckett."
The three gasps at her, "Miss Collins what are you doing?" they all say in union.
"Well, we did get a go ahead from reception that Miss Beckett is here with a friend." Miss Collins says, taking the form and pen from Kaleah.
While se escorts Kaleah, she hopes her gut feeling didn't is right, she can still hear her fellow secretaries mock her decision.
Miss Collins arrives inside the office first and greets Clayton who was busy with a report that he had been perfecting all day.
"Good day Mr. Beckett."
"Miss Collins." He raises his head from the paper to the lady in front of him.
"Sir there is a lady here to see you."
By his reaction alone Miss Collins had regretted listening to her gut feelings, she had decided to lie and say that she had cast the lady away, but Kaleah had already arrived.
"Hi." She says so innocently, Miss Collins feels embarrassed, she wants the ground to swallow her whole, she had just gotten a high paying job now it is turning into ashes.
But something unexpected happened, Clayton changes his whole frowning face into a smile, he had looked like a little boy who've been promised candy.
He immediately stands up from his chair to greet Kaleah, Miss Collins had never seen something like that, her stoic boss showing more emotions than warranted.
He had rushed to Kaleah, greeting her in the most intimate way possible, Kaleah could only just smile innocently.
"Um… sir."
"Oh... thank you for showing her the way Miss Collins, you may go back to work." He politely says, "Oh, and please reschedule any meeting I have this afternoon, Miss Huxley and I might talk for quite a while."
Miss Collins had bowed before leaving she could not help but smile at how pathetically in love her boss was, the other secretaries would be so surprised.
When she arrives at the table the others look incredibly angry, "what?" she asks nonchalantly, she knows they had hoped she would come back crying after being fired.
"Good afternoon, everyone." Cyan greets everyone at the table diverting all the attention from Miss Jacobs.
"Miss Beckett, we have a problem," Saria one of the assistants says frenetically.
"Is that so? What happened?" Cyan asks.
"Well Miss Jacobs over there let some unknown woman through to Mr. Beckett's office." Saria says proudly, making the other two nod with her, "she was a classless woman with blue hair, she said her name was Kaleah."
"Ah… classless? You are calling my Leah classless?" Cyan asks angrily causing the three shameless secretaries to flinch, "huh, how shameless of you three to call my friend classless, wait until I tell Clay about this, the amount of trouble you will be in."
"No, Miss Beckett, we didn't mean it like that… we just well we didn't know she was…"
Cyan rolls her eyes at them before sighing, "given the number of women who could have lied and cause you your jobs I will let this slide, luckily Clayton doesn't know anything about this." She sighs again, "just make sure this doesn't happen again." She said before leaving.
"What? What just happen?" the ginger Taylor exclaims, Miss Jacobs just shrugged and said, "turns out Miss Huxley is an important part of the family. Let us get back to work."
[Clayton POV]
Seems the day was going downhill since it started, first I woke up late missed breakfast and wasn't able to greet my precious fiancé. Then some fool of Hailee Leech wanted to stop doing business with us for breaking up with Hailee, not a terrible thing but it was still annoying.
"Sir there is a lady here to see you."
Now Miss Jacobs is here looking to be fired talking about some lady here to see me. I cannot help but frown at her, she knows very well that only family members are allowed.
But I was wrong, Miss Jacobs is not seeking for a termination of her contract instead she needs a raise, because between the pile of paperwork I need to get done to get another company to replace Hailee's fan and what is in front of me, the paperwork can wait.
"Leah, what bring you here?"
I couldn't help but rejoice at this angel who was here to save my day, I didn't even care if I embarrassed myself in front of Miss Jacobs. Miss Jacobs had left us alone, and I had made sure Kaleah was seated and comfortable.
"So, what brings you here?" I asked nervously.
"Well, we just came from the wedding planner's office" she says with her honeylike voice, "Mrs. Dealer had asked me to talk to you about the plans, so we can have a solid vision before we go to her again."
"Oh, you want us to plan the wedding together?" I asked happily, of course it made me happy, having her want to hear my thoughts about our wedding makes me happy.
"Let me go get a notebook, so we can write down our decisions." Kaleah nods nervously, her beautiful smile taking all the stress I had away.
I quickly fly out the couch to get the notebook, and return to seat next to her, she is a bit tense by the closeness of our bodies, she takes a deep breath before giving in and comfortably starts telling me her Wishlist.
