Back in Bellory Farm, Anton stared at Mary, stupefied if he had heard her right.
Mary had offered Anton to stay for the night since his house is quite far and it is already late. Mary only offered it, thinking of his safety but of course, Anton's mind had thought of other things. Things that they might do in the middle of the night if he stays there.
Mary saw how confounded Anton was with her question and at first, she wondered why but she is not that naive to not understand.
"Oh, no, no, no. You are not thinking about adult things aren't you?" Mary asked it as a joke but she really meant it.
Anton's face turned red, so red that even if it was dark inside the car Mary saw it. His eyes widened in embarrassment and not only that he stuttered but also struggled to find his words.
"I-I… T-That was n-not–"
