"What?!" Amy let out a shrill exclamation, a mix of astonishment and disbelief evident in her voice.
"Shh…" Mary swiftly covered Amy's mouth, anxious to prevent their conversation from reaching the ears of anyone outside.
Amy forcefully removed Mary's hand, determined to continue, "Are you serious? You did not!"
With a sigh, Mary sank onto the sofa. "I can't explain what came over me."
Amy joined her best friend on the couch, taking a seat beside her. "Do you have any regrets?" she inquired.
"Of course, none at all," Mary replied, her voice tinged with confidence. "But I also feel guilty at the same time. However, if given another chance, I would still make the same choice."
"I thought so too… So how was it?" Amy asked, a mischievous grin spreading across her face, directed at Mary.
"I am not telling you the details," Mary replied firmly, then turned around ready to leave the room.
