CHAPTER 8

Mona sniffed as she woke up from the little sleep that had stolen a few moments from her. She had been dreaming when it seemed like she was back in her parents' home at the crimson pack. Only to wake up to find herself still strapped to a chair and the room dark as night.

Trying to adjust her eyes to the room, she couldn't pick a thing. After the alpha's visit, it seemed like she had been thrown deep into a dark well yet again. Her heart ached as she remembered the condition surrounding her being kept hostage.

Tears streamed down her eyes again. She was certain her parents would have gone in search of her.

"Stop worrying. We would be saved." Her wolf assured again.

"How can you be so calm in this situation? Is it a punishment you are unleashing on me for going against your will to shift?"

The wolf seemed baffled, "why would you think that?"

"Can't you tell this is a dead end? The Lycan alpha would never come here to save me. Don't forget he rejected me."
